Aqua Painters vs. Blender Pens?

Here I am again with another naive question... :???:

When would you use an aqua painter as opposed to a blender pen? Why? Currently I use the blender pen with the watercolor pencils. If I get the crayons do I need the aqua painter?

I have both and use my blender pens on ink pad lids and with watercolor pencils but I really love aquapainters with the crayons. You really need the extra water the get nice color off the crayons. If I have small areas to color, I sometimes get the crayon wet with the aquapainter then take a bit of color off with the blender pen. Hope that helps

i love my aqua painter, I don't use the blender pens much, I much prefer the aqua painter with my inks in the lid, watercolor pencils and watercolor crayons.

When I first started stamping, I used the blender pens for everything--because that's what my demo used. Then I started attending events with a second demo, and she used the aquapainters for everything! LOL I obviously had to have both.

I use the blender pens for quicker work. They are not messy, and I have more control. You can use them with the crayons, but I agree, the aquapainters give a better "watercolored" look. I guess that's the difference anyway--blender pens look more "colored," while aquapainters look "watercolored."
