Default grundgeboard

I want to buy some alphabet grundgeboard...but can't decide if it should be swirled, harlequin, dots, or plain. What would your first choice be???

maybe I'm calling it the wrong thing. Tim Holtz makes grungeboard. Some of it is shapes, but he also has alphabet pieces. He sells each in 4 textures...stripes, swirls, harlequin, and plain (no texture). This stuff looks really cool. It's like chipboard, except plyable like leather. It doesn't detriorate when you paint it. You can pound it, stain it, paint it, stamp it,...etc....really grunge it up!

Here's a journal and a couple ornaments that I made with the Harlequin grungeboard. Maybe it'll give you an idea if you like the pattern inked up.

I think the Harlequin is the most versatile. It could be used with whimsical images or classic images.

I think it depends on what you want to make, if you like to craquele I'd prefer the plain grungeboard but now as I see the results of Jeanne I know I MUST have the Harlequin also hihi;)

Hi Julie, no it's not. You can also fold grungeboard it's amazing stuff! Tim Holtz has a great tutorial over at his blog: http://timholtz.com/demos.html It's defenitely a "must see";)

At first glance it looks like chipboard with a pattern. It feels like leather and you can wet it without fraying or pilling, fold it, emboss it. Very cool product.

I got plain to start. You can put it in embossing folders and emboss it. I love it. I have almost finished my elements package.
