Default Prob REALLY Stupid SU stamp Q???

I have a ton of SU stamps, altho havent purchased many of late. I think due to my style back then I always purchased stamps that wouldnt need to be "colored in". But now.. that's the type of stamp I enjoy stamping with. Can I use a real light colored ink and then color over my stamps? Or is there some other way to just get an outline? Most of my stamps are ones where the entire image is inked (i.e. the entire flower will be whatever stamp color I choose). I used many of these as backgrounders/for layering on scrap pages, but now wondering how I might use for coloring to change effect? Any thoughts much appreciated!

I think you should try it! I don't think I would be very good at it but it might work for you. I don't know of anyone else trying this - but it would be fairly easy I guess to outline the image with a thin black line after you stamped it and then color it in. Try it!!

I don't know how you would color them in that way.. but here's something..

have you tried the watercolor crayons? I use those often on my solid image stamps..

1. lightly mist your stamp with water (old spray bottle is what I use)
2. color your flowers directly on the stamp with the crayons.
3. lightly spray your paper OR lightly spray the paper
4. stamp..

creates beautiful images with flowers and such..

I have a few like this in my gallery if you want to take a look..

If you just use a marker to go around the edges of your solid stamp, no other ink on it, would it give you an outline that you can colour in by your preferred methods?

If you have some 2-step stamps, you could use just the outline stamp.

I also recommend the marker or watercolor crayons on the outside.

The Rock & Roll method might work--give it a try.

Good luck!
