which inks for which coloring method

I'm gonna create a table, 'cause I can never remember which ink I should stamp with when I want to use a particular coloring method. or the reverse- if I have a certain type of ink, which coloring method can I use? Help me create this table by reminding me which one goes with which. Are any below that are not correct?

watercolor- classic with SU paper, stazon on any type paper, versafine? Pallette?

Magic colored pencil (prismacolor pencils blended with odorless mineral spirits)-

alcohol based markers (copic or prismacolor)- Noir Pallette, Brilliance

Stazon- vellum stamping, glossy paper

Me too!

I think I'll subscribe to this thread so I can make up a list too. My brain is certainly NOT what it used to be. http://www.millan.net/minimations/sm...smilebrain.gif

I'm subscribing - this will be so helpful! And I'd add to your list if I were knowledgable on the topic, but I'm not. :)

I use Marvy Matchables (it's a dye ink) when I'm using my Copics, and when I'm using the colored pencils and Gamsol.
For watercolors, I use India Ink Black.

Have you seen the May/June 2007 issue of The Rubber Stamper? It has a lovely Ink Chart Update in it -- listing manufacturer's info on what kind of ink a certain product is, whether it will emboss or not, whether it needs heat setting or not, what it will stamp on, how to clean up after it...

Besides being a great reference guide, it makes me want to do some major shopping to get some of the inks that I'd never seen before. So now I want Shadow Ink by Hero Arts, the whole line of Ranger inks (Adirondack, Nick Bantock...), Tsukineko... and the list just goes on from there. ;)
