I don't have copics - so I couldn't say - but I do know that Frantic stamper ( just google it ) has copics - and lots more - and is fantastic shipping and price wise, and MFT ( my favourite things - they have a site here on SCS has a copics club and sells copics - hope that helps!
I love the Copic Ciao. You can find them at a good price with free shipping at http://oozak.com/products.php?cat=34. You can also get the original, sketch, or wide depending on your preference at good prices...

I have used both Prismacolors and Copics. I started collecting the Prismacolors first since they were easier to find and cheaper. Both have great color choices. I plan to add more Copics to my collection soon.
I did a test between Prismacolors and Copics for coloring on things like brads and ribbon. The Copics performed *much* better on those surfaces IMHO (drying time and overall end result). Copics also are refillable and nibs are replaceable. So if those things are important to you, then it's probably worth it to go with Copics over Prismacolors. Another thing that makes Copics easier to work with is their numbering system. Once you understand how it works, finding the color that is a shade darker or lighter is easy.
If you decide on Copics, you can get some nice sets from the A Muse blog (Novell posted the link already for ya) or the Elzybells blog - both are through paypal: http://elzybellsna.typepad.com/my_we...c-markers.html
Sorry is this is a silly question, but are Copics the same sort of thing as Marvy Brush Markers? I 'spose I'm really out of touch aren't I?
Also the SU markers, are they the same thing as the Copics?

How come Frantic Stamper copic's are so much cheaper in price than anywhere else I have seen? Are these a different style or ink? I am completly in the dark when it comes to these copic's. It seems like there are maybe 3 different style's, so what kind do I need to buy just to do cards and scrapbook? Thanks!!!
I would have to choose the Prismas. I dont find the copics have a fine enough tip to color in the very small spaces without bleeding past the lines. Anyone have better luck with the Copics and small detail than me? The Prisma fine tip is very fine and stiff

The fine nib on the original Copic markers (the square ones carried by A Muse) is similar - it's fine and stiff just like the Prisma fine tip.

I used the Brush tip (I have Sketch and Ciaos) for everything. I never have a problem getting into the little spaces.

I have the prismacolor markers and I really like them. I can get them locally at Mikes using a coupon, and DickBlick.com sells them at around the same price as Mikes with a coupon. I had to pay shipping, but no sales tax -- and no gas to get them! So I'm thinking it was a wash.
There are 3 types. Original, Sketch and Ciao. The ciao are the cheapest-I don't know if the other two are the same price or what. The ciao are $3.95 on the copic site. Ciaos work fine for cards and scrapbooks (keep in mind that the ink is not acid free until dry and even then there is some controversy over it) and have the same tips as the sketch. I believe the only thing different about the ciao, other than the shape (round vs oval) is that you can't automatically use them in the airbrush system. I think I read that they are changing that and I'm pretty sure someone here did post a way to use them in it (I don't have the airbrush system so I don't know much about it).
I thought I read somewhere that the Ciaos nibs cannot be replaced - which would explain the price difference as well.
