Default I think I wore out my CB flower die!!

My biggest flower die no longer cuts all the way through. The last few times I've used it it's *almost* cut through, but not quite, so I've had to kind of pull it away & then use my sander thingy on it. This is what I used to make my Peppermint Patties because I don't have the SU punch ~~ do you think I wore it out?? LOL!! Is there a way to "sharpen" it, like with punches??

The die itself should not wear out unless you are cutting something really hard. What shape is your top "B" plate in? I've noticed that the more my "B" plate is wearing out, the less precise the cuts are getting.

I did try a brand new plate, I also thought that was the problem, but it's still not cutting all the way through :( I tried another die in the set, & it cut just fine.

try using a cardstock "shim" under the die - it seems to help me when I can't get as good of a cut any more... HTH!

Hmmmm ...
I wonder if it would help to try adding a couple of cardstock layers as a shim under the B plate before placing your die & paper atop? Gosh ... good luck!

I would just try to shim it with a piece of cardstock or thin (like cereal box) chipboard.

ETA: WOW - great minds! ;)
