Default Finding Alterable Paint Cans

Okay, my first workshop is coming up in March. I want to make the Paint Cans into Easter Baskets for my workshop. However I am only finding them for 3-4 bucks a POP! I think some of the actual Paint Cans sell for 1-2 dollars instead at Hardware stores. Anyone know of an online craft store, or eBay seller that has some of these???

Thanks!
Amy

Your prices do seem a bit more than what I paid last year at Sherwin Williams paint store. Sorry about that. I've never checked our other paint store in town, due to my satisfaction with the price at the closest one. Good luck.

Try Oriental trading company. I'm not sure how much they are. I always get mine at the Hardware store.

Another affordable idea to the paint cans is by using baby formula cans! I started saving the large 32 oz. ones...if you have any gf's who have little ones, see if they will save the cans for you. Plus the formula label comes off easily and is an instant template for your paper

try going to a local paint store...not a Home Depot or Lowe's, a small independant paint store. I went to Aboff's paint near my house and they sell me the gallon cans for 2 dollars and the quart ones for a buck...

My parents are in the automotive industry, and my mom said that the local parts store sold them for around a dollar!!!

My local Lumber yard sells them for $1.60 for the gallons, and $.80 for the quarts. I found this out after paying $4 for one at Lowe's. I also found them at AutoZone for under $2. Good luck finding them!

I like the smaller cans for classes because they are a little cheaper, but they still give the same idea to the customer!

Ace Hardware is where I buy mine. The gallon is 1.99 I think (maybe a bit less) and the quart size is .99.

Definitely go the route of the paint stores. I called around at my local paint stores and found a definite difference of price. the best price I've found so far is at Kelly Paint. I think it was $1.80 per gallon and $.90 for quarts.
