Thinking of buying a motorized die cut/emboss machine...
I don't really know what-all is out there and what people like. I know the Vagabond is motorized. Is there a motorized version of the Big Shot?
I would like to be able to cut thicker stuff and I would like to be able to quit cranking a handle. I recently saw a video demo from Lisa from Local King and noticed that she has a motorized machine, but I couldn't see what is was. All I could see was that she was reaching over and pushing a button and the sandwich was moving forward through the machine and then back again. And it started me thinking...
Suggestions and opinions would be appreciated.

The motorized bigshot was a flop. I don't know that it is currently available anymore. The motor was weak. I received it by accident and replaced it with the regular manual one.

I checked out the preview videos on the Cheery Lynn Crossover - this machine seems nice because it's adjustable, but it isn't motorized. There's a handle.

I've been considering one someday. I had a sore wrist the other day from cranking out almost a dozen of the SU Wonderful Wreath and bows on my Big Shot. But I'll try switching arms first.
Not happy about all the reports of dead Vagabonds and it's not cheap either.
I haven't heard the dead Vagabond stories. But then I haven't been looking for them. I guess I need to do more research.

I'm the electronic 'n tool junkie. I have the Vagabond and eBosser. My Vagabond has had to be repaired, while under warranty. I only use it for thin dies now. The eBosser is a pain and slow as molasses. I finally broke down and bought the Bigshot Pro. I love the pro and hardly use either electronic machine. If I had to choose between my Vagabond and eBosser I'd choose the Vagabond, even though it had to be repaired. If it goes out again, I won't replace it. I'll just stick with my Pro. It's so easy to crank I think it's better than either the Vagabond and eBosser, just my opinion. Hope this helps.
The BS Pro is easier to crank than the regular old BS?
But did you use either your eBosser or Vagabond to cut chipboard and heavier stuff?

Eeks! I'm sorry. I should have watched the video again before I posted. The adjustable height is nice. At that price though... it ought to crank itself!

Yes the Pro takes less turns and it's so smooth. It's quicker than the electronic machines. Yes I've cut cans, fabric, felt (wool), balsa, and chipboard on all of them.
