I had purchased the Cameo design "Flourish Frame" and for the life of me I cannot get it to cut right. Comes apart. Cannot get what is pictured. I have reset the blade to a 6. Anyone else have trouble with this?? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
What weight card stock are you using? What size are you trying to make the design? I would guess that if you're using a lighter weight card stock (under 80lbs), that a blade of 6 is probably too much for it. I use a blade of 6 for heavier card stock (some 80# or 110#) but the heavy card stock doesn't cut intricate designs as nicely as the lighter weight. Do you have a link for what you're trying to cut?
Can you be more specific about which image it is? I searched is the Silhouette store and found many frames named "flourish frame". Several of them are meant to be cut separately and layered, could this be your issue?
When cutting really detailed designs make sure you really slow down your cutting, I usually cut at a 3, but I have an SD not a Cameo so I'm not sure about those settings.

6!? What are you cutting!? I have my blade set for 3 to cut card stock. I think 6 would cut right through my mat! I use 3,20 for anything up to 110#.
I am using SU cardstock ---first I had it on 4 --which is what I usually use for SU cardstock and it did not even make a mark ---so changed to 5 and not a whole lot better --have on a 6 and cuts it but does not leave the design it should. Wondered if it was because I changed the size and made it too small for the design. 3 would never cut the SU cardstock on mine. I did that at first and would not cut thru. I cannot give a better name --but and doubt there is a number but will check and see what I can find. Thanks!
Okay ---I went in and did a search forr "flourish frame" and it came up on page 1 bottom row and on the left. If they come up the same way each time ---that would be it.
If it's the one shown in black from Echo Park it's only going to cut out each of those individual pieces, it's not a solid image, if that makes sense? You'll have to either glue all the tiny cut out pieces into place or use the "negative" space left on the paper after the cut. I've come across a few dies like this, it's a pain to piece them together!
You are right --it is Echo Park. Now, I guess, I have learned what to look for before I buy them. Now - when I look back, I can see all the small pieces not connected. Hindsight...20/20! Ha!! Does anyone know of another Cameo design that is like this one that would cut in all one piece. I love the design! Thanks!
