In the States, they can ship it....just not across the border. Since it is already in Canada, maybe they can ship it!

Really? Maybe she has something worked out through the PO. Businesses might have an option whether or not they can. That would be interesting to know. Regular people can't at all since it is flammable and the 9/11 thing.

Default Gamsol

Can someone explain to me what it is and what it does please?
I have heard many talk about it, but I don't know in what capacity.
Thank you....Warmly,
Debi

OMS (Odorless Mineral Spirits) is used in the painting world to thin oil paints. In the stamping world, we use it to blend and move color from colored pencils.

Default Gamsol in Canada

Thank you SO much for going to all this trouble....I've looked but have not found any. I live an hour and a half from Kelowna....so I won't make a special trip but will add it to my list for the next trip.

In the meantime, I'm using Mineral Spirits I found at Home Depot (not odorless and not 'artist grade' and it seems to be working. Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't be using it?

Thanks all.

Just an add on to the gamsol thing.. I live in Vancouver Canada - and yes, I've gotten gamsol both from Opus Art Store and also via inky antics. I prefer the inky antics as it comes in a small dauber bottle so I think it's easier to use. I was surprised that it just came regular mail - the gamsol from inky antics as indeed it is flammable .

I also ordered the gamsol from Opus - they only ship by fedex or some trucking company - not thru the mail as it is a dangerous chemical. Was very quick and all - but it comes in huge container ( okay, not huge - but like a quart or so ) and so was much more bother than inky antics. But yes, for the record - you can gamsol both from Inky Antics and from Opus - just in very different containers! Warning - Inky Antics takes a long time to ship - plan to wait at least a month I have found!
