Default Looking for some outside the box punch ideas!!

Hello everyone-

I am going to be teaching an upcoming class that uses our punches on every project. I am trying to come up with some ideas that are thinking outside the box - for instance the flower out of the oval punch. Does anyone else have other ideas - pictures would be wonderful!

If you go to the Tool & Product talk forum I know there is a thread on the Designer Tag Punch and the Spiral Tag Punch that has great ideas!

I am assuming you are seeking ideas that use SU! punches, not any/all brands of punches?

I would suggest either posting your query within the demonstrator forums, if you're looking for ideas from fellow demonstrators--there's also a wonderful demo resource library within those forums.

You might also try conducting a gallery search, using the "advanced" search feature--many pictures to inspire you there!

There are also some great threads on "out of the box" ideas for punches in the general "Tools" forum, but they may not necessarily be dedicated only to SU! punches exclusively.

HTH! Your class sounds like it will be fun!

I just did an Accessories Club on this very subject. Be sure to include these--
buckle card with the word window punch
scalloped edge with the slit punch
froggie made with the oval punches and those googlie eyeballs
giant daisy with the oval punch
tabs with the circle punches folded around the edge of a card
faux metal rim tags with the circle punches rolled in Versamark then emboss
longer tags using the tag punch with the paper pulled out the bottom
sea waves using the edge of the large oval punch
Using twine or linen thread through the notched corner punch
using the 1/2 in circle punch as a corner notcher
1/2 in circle punch as a hole protector thingamabob
layering the flowers from Spring Boquet punch with a brad

Those are just a few! Hope that helps! I had two hours worth of things to discuss, demo, and do. There's also a punch chart that you could have them make. It's in the demo SUB gallery. I'll try to post my four projects today so you can see them in person--one card used 12 total punches.

Word documents can be attached by starting a post, but, before hitting the submit button, scroll down and view "Additional Options".

There's a button for "Manage attachments" in the "attach files" box, and it should accept a Word doc. just fine. You can also convert your doc to pdf (my perferred) format and upload it as that, as well.

Anywhoo, select the doc via the browser, upload the attachment, close the upload window, and then hit the submit button under your post, and that's all she wrote! ;)

However, before you post/share the document, I would strongly advise seeking the permission of the individual that authored the document first, in the event that they did not intend for it to be distributed in this fashion.
