Default Which One -

Ok I am starting to want the cricut more and more, I'm only a scrapbooker but before I decided I was going to get the big shot - any thoughts over one over the other?

Aside from price is one a better investment?

Can I make cuts for my scrapbook pages? I scrapbook on a 12 x 12 page so I want to do embellishments

Thanks might have more ?'s later

Cricut all the way!! I scrapbook 12x12 also. I am working on 5 right now for my kids and the family. I've had my Cricut since December and I have already make TONS of pages. I post some links so you can see if this is what you are looking for. I don't do a lot of embellishments right now. My goal is to get caught up. I'm only 2 1/2 months behind!!

The Big Shot (along with its "sister" machine, the Big Kick, and its "cousin", the Cuttlebug) can use dies from various different companies, so you can use it to cut a HUGE variety of shapes and alphabets. You can also dry emboss and cut chipboard with these three machines. The Big Shot and Big Kick will accept paper up to 6" wide. It's my understanding that the Cuttlebug is a little bit narrower.

The Cricut uses only Cricut cartridges, but you can adjust the sizes of the shapes and letters. You cannot dry emboss with the Cricut, and from what I understand it isn't recommended that you cut chipboard with it.

I hope I explained that so it makes sense. I own the Big Kick and think it's great! If I did more scrapbooking, I'd be very tempted by the Cricut.

Thanks for replying but I would only use it for scrapbooking and i have no clue what you mean by dry emboss and cutting chipboard  Can you even do something like that in a scarpbook?

I think you answered my question when you said " If I did more scrapbooking, I'd be very tempted by the Cricut." Thanks

Don't pink frogs like Crickets??? There is your answer. The Cricut Expression is aimed more towards teachers and businesses. You can use it for scrapbooking but the regular Cricut really has everything you need. It's AWESOME!!!
