I saw a Youtube video where a woman demonstrated cutting a Sizzix filigree type die cut like the "Sizzix Architectural Accents set"
The pieces are very lacy and narrow
She said " normally she would have put the adhesive on the back of the paper " before " she cut it.
I have seen Xyron machines that attach the adhesive to the back of paper.
Would putting adhesive on the back of the paper before cutting it gum up the cutting part of the dies?
I know the adhesive can't damage the rollers or machine because it is in a sandwich.
Thanks
Barbara
Ladies....If you do get a bit of the adhesive on your die, it will rub off easily with your finger.
As others have said, I can't live without my Xyrons (I have several). I also use them before cutting. I just cut the paper to the size I will need for the image. That way I don't waste the adhesive.
Adhesive on the Nestie would be no problem if it just rubs off. My concern is the dies such as Sizzix or CB where the cutting part is in/under the foam .
I can see how the Xyron would certainly make gluing intricate pieces much less tedious. Plus they would not fall off.
Thanks
Barbara
I am admiring some pictures I see of gorgeous filigree dies used on cards. However, in searching, I'm having a difficult time finding these gorgeous filigree dies to purchase. There are corners and more swirly ones, but very delicate and "scrolly". Any suggestions for sources would be very much appreciated...and, thanks for the adhesive advice; I'll remember it, too.

The very delicate scrolly swirly corners and flourishes you have seen are most likely by Memory Box or their sister company Poppy Stamps. Other flourishes that I have seen that are lovely, though not as wispy are by Cherry Lynn Designs and Die-namics. You can find these dies at many online stores. Ellen Hutson, Chic and Savvy Crafters, Frantic Stamper, Creative Play Stamps - these are just a few of the places you can strt your search. Just google Memory Box dies and you will get 100's of links; the companies I mentioned will be in them.
There are so many companies that now make delicate, scrolly dies that including a picture would be helpful. Someone here WILL know what company or steer you to a way to find it. The people here are very generous and kind so will help you I am sure.
Companies that make delicate dies that I know of are:
Memory Box
Cherry Lynn
Spellbinders
and some Sizzlets corners are sort of scrolly
I know there are more made in the US and there are ones made in other countries that are quite beautiful also.
