How do you run the Sizzix Texture plate through the Cuttlebug and get a good emboss??

sandyluvstamps.....Remember it is a texture plate and not an embossing folder. It will give a nice subtle impression on your paper, but certainly not as deep as an embossing folder would. I like the Fiskars ones very much.

I use the rubber mat on top of the paper under the top cutting pad. Put the other cutting pad on the spacer plate first.

I use my BIGkick, but it should also work with the Cuttlebug, too.

You can get a somewhat more defined texture if you spritz your paper with a bit of water first. I also recall reading on someone's blog that you can also spritz with rubbing alcohol so it dries faster; someone else suggested spritzing the texture plate instead of the paper.

Even using these tricks, though, you're never going to have the very defined embossing you get with the folders.

Also, when using the cuttlebug you might need to use a shim, two or three pieces of cardstock. I would recommend starting low and testing what works best. However, the plates are just for a subtle impression like someone else said. I personally prefer the folders and a stronger impression. Good luck!
