I'm sure you'll find the right way for you. I prefer to store them by similar colors -pinks, pink with polka dots, etc. I love the look of glass jars but until then I keep them in clear baggies.

Umm, bit of a mix and match for me. All the little tiny ones and regular sized ones are in nice tins that used to house my embroidery threads till they outgrew the tins. Then all the Painterly Petals are in an old candle jar, and all the miscellaneous coloured ones bigger than standard are in a big glass candy jar. And the huge big embossed ones are in a plastic bag. If I had enough big glass jars, it's the easiest way of seeing what you have and just sticking your hand in. The tins, I have to empty them out, but they do fine.
That's a tough one. I usually do them by color, and then if it's a "different style," I do it by style, too. Either way, I took ALL mine out of their packaging, put them in baggies and in a plastic box. The bottles were taking up too much room and falling over, etc. I put the bottles in a cardboard box and figured down the road maybe I could alter them.
I took all of mine out of their original packaging and sorted them into cute glass jars by color . . . I LOVE seeing them lined up and it's SO much easier for me to use them now.

Reason: typo
I sort mine by color. The larger flowers are in a drawer sorted by color and manufacturer in zip lock bags. Works great for me. My small flowers are sorted by color and manufacturer in this holder. I love it, and it looks so pretty on my desk.

I bought the Making Memories plastic storage jars at M's in the large and small sizes. I have one set of small primas that came in a jar and I left those in their jar. All the other flowers I have I dumped into one of the large jars. I love how it looks on my shelf and the opening of the jar is wide enough that I can easily get which one I want. Before this I had a multi drawer hardware storage thingie and I had 3 of the drawers for the flowers based on size of the flower - not color. HTH Andrea
I save everything!!! I use clear plastic jars that held nuts. (3 1/2" deep x 4 1/4" diameter) I removed the label, of course. Now have my flowers sorted by color. Some colors had to be moved to clear plastic doggie treat jars and some to a large clear plastic beef jerky jar. See, I said that I save everything but you never know when you might need........, right?

This is what I did, too. I didn't have a big budget, though, so I used empty babyfood jars, upside down (with the lids on ;-) ). My friend gave them to me.

Babyfood jars is a great idea -- cute and free plus you're recycling!
I had to use much bigger jars though 'cause I have A LOT of flowers.
I sort mine by color and size. I have a plastic box that has compartments in that I use , 1 color per compartment. I got the box at A.C. Moore and it was about $2-3. I'm sure a lot of the craft stores have them.
I have 2 with the primas and another one buttons. I keep them in a dresser drawer that I have in my craft room. Old furniture comes in handy ! :-D
