Default Does Anyone Have

the Copic Airbrush system? If so, may I ask what the price is? I used one at a class I took and I love it. It was so easy and the results were fabulous.

Cool card...never thought to airbrush on canvas. I have one. Were you looking for the one with the cans or the one you use with the compressor? I have both.

I use the Central Pneumatic 1/8 HP 40 PSI Oiless Airbrush Compressor from Harbor Freight Tools $59.99 sale price

Copic Air Brush System- ABS3 (airgrip and air adaptor) at Creative Play Stamps for $34.36

The ABS System 1 is $67.84 and comes with the airgrip adaptor cans and tubing

ABS 2 comes with just the airgrip and the small D60 air can and is $27.85

I too am considering purchasing one of these sets, but am unsure which might be better. Is it a real pain to use the cans? If not, which set is better- the one that attaches directly to the can, or with the adaptor? My dh has a compressor already in his shop and for inflating tires, etc.- guess I should see if it can do 40 psi?

I purchased Copic Airbrush Starter Set #1 from Oozak, currently priced at $55.50 and they do offer free shipping for orders over $50. If I remember correctly, I believe this is the one that was recommended in Copic certification class. It had everything I needed to get started. I went through cans of air quickly, so I did end up investing in the Sparmax compressor too. I hope this is helpful.

The cans are very simple to use but they go quickly. If the airbrushed effect is something you really like and you think you will do it often then shoot for the compressor. If you do get the ABS 1 then you will have everything you need to graduate to the compressor.

Thanks for the info! I just ordered one from Scrap-mart- with the copicsale coupon I got it for $43.77 and free shipping. Kinda a consolation prize- I had a big order of Copics in progress but hadn't finished it as our son was going to Homecoming and so we did all the pics, etc. Now Scrap-Mart is sold out of all the good colors and sets! Oh well, Homecoming was more special than Copics, so guess I am not TOTALLY addicted- yet. ;P

I'm a professional cake decorator, and an airbrush is a part of daily life for me. While I've never used the one you're asking about, I can tell you that even with top of the line airbrushes, I have literally ALWAYS had better results with the canned air, because it flows from the can smoothly, whereas a compressor sort of "sputters" the air out in a rapid fire way. The compressor definitely is cheaper over the long run, but if you want a flawless look, I'd go with the cans.
