I was looking at the store ad (online) which said that paper craft supplies (I forget exact wording) are all on sale through the end of this week. If you have shopped there this week, could you clarify this a bit? I am pretty sure it includes the Cuttlebug supplies. How about ink? Embellishments? We plan a stop tomorrow and I need to plan a little at least! LOL
I just happened to make a trip there today. Everything paper craft related is 40 percent off. That includes inks, punches, embellishments, stamps, and the cuttlebug accessories. The location I went to had very little left in the cuttlebug line......all embossing folders were gone. Happy Shopping!
I was there (IL) yesterday and the 4 pack of versamark chalk ink was $5.99, an alphabet for the cuttlebug was $48, and a 4 pack of dies for the cuttlebug was $9.59. Lots of things were 40% off!
They also have sales on the same stuff online, but it sounds like the store sales are better (i.e. Cuttlebug stuff was about 25% off online, and not 40% off like in the store). However, my nearest Joann's is at least 10-15 miles away (and will take me an hour to get there in traffic), so I just used the free shipping and ordered them online to save the frustration and gasoline!
Thanks for the input. I called the local store and was told they had quite a bit of the Cuttlebug line left. However, I do not always count on that kind of information. If not I will take Kikikaren's advice.
This is what I found odd over the weekend... I went to Joann's and the cricut was being sold for $199.. then I went to Mike's and the cricut was being sold for $299. I asked Mike's if they price match because it seems so odd that they would have such a huge price difference.. Well - Mike said NO!
Then on Sunday Mike's ads stated "the price is so low to advertise" I called and cricut was down to $249 but Joann is still $199. That is not a sale.. I wish they would compete.. and save me some $$$
Well - I decided to wait until the Cricut expression comes out - maybe the price will drop more..
Also check out the counters. DH went there Saturday (on his own!!) to buy me the Cuttlebug (which they were out of, but they ordered it and I pick it up today! ) and he got me coupons on the counter. They were all on one big sheet and it's 50% off reg priced item in lots of departments. I'm going to try to use that at AC Moore today.....
I just got a box of goodies from Joann.com yesterday. I got some new ink pads to play with... several of the alchohol inks, a couple of Ranger Distress Inks, some Colorbox Chalk Inks, etc. Their prices were very good!
I was looking for some new cuttlebug embossing folders on-line - I could only find two listed! Did anyone find more at Joann's.com? I am some distance from the closest store and after work, don't always have time to get there.
I just thought I'd post this for those looking for a circut. The super walmarts near me have it at regular price for 179.99. The carts are 55-60.00 a piece. They also carry the mats, extra blades, trimmer and tool kit (I think). I haven't seen any of the newer ones yet. I happen to be in one of them (I have 2 supers and a regular one within 15 mins. from me) one day and they clearanced them for 40.95 a cart and 144.00 for the machine. Well, naturally I couldn't pass that deal up (my poor CC!) so I bought about 200.00 worth. It's the only one and they're out. The other super that carried them didn't clearance (weird). They are in the craft sections of the store. Sorry if I'm not suppose to post this. I work at a craft store that carries them and I send customers to WM. I can't see someone spending 300.00 when I know they can get them for 180.00. I asked my hubby about the price diff and he said that the 299.99 price is the mark up of the store. I'm not sure if that's right but it makes sense to me. HTH anyone wanting to get one.
Good luck at JoAnn's! I really think they pull sale items OFF the shelves before the store opens! I was there 15 minutes after the store/sale opened, about 5 others shopping, and there was NOTHING on the shelves. Xyron: gone! Adhesives: gone! Sizzix dies: poor selection. Grrrrrr!
