Is it an EK success punch ? Hold the punch upright in front of you, thumb lever pointing to the floor. Let it just sit on the guard with the part under the lever sitting in the guard and now using both hands gently pull outwards the top points of the guard and let one side at a time click into the punch. This is really hard to explain, I have the punch here and I can do it but trying to explain is a different story. Do you have another one to look at so you can see exactly what goes where ?.
Good luck
Kathleen

Misha.....I think you did an excellent job explaining. It's a very easy thing to do, but difficult to put into words. Also once you take that piece off, it's confusing how to get it back on.

I had the same problem. I got so disgusted with it I put it down and walked away. Came back later, picked it up and WOW, went right on. Misha's explanation is a good one. Good Luck!!
