Default i need to label my stuff...what kind of labeling gadget do i need?

im in the process of labeling stamps, etc. what kind of labeler (is that a word?) should i buy?

i checked out a few of them and i know i dont want the dymo embossed kind, i dont like my labels raised/embossed looking. just plain white, with black ink is fine. which brand is best? oh and i prefer to spend under 50 bucks ;)

thanks!

I use the Casio Label It for all of my stuff. You can get black on white tape or black on clear tape, or white on black tape. I use the black on white tape for my stamps as it is easy to see. I use the black ink on clear to label my paper in hanging folders as I use the color of paper in the tabs. Hope this helps a little. Check out ebay for these items, thats what I did.

Default Cheap solution

I picked up some white address labels at Staples, and have used a regular black Sharpie marker.

I'm not sure what brand mine is, but it prints on the 1/2" wide tape (you can get either paper or plastic). It was around $20. You can also get the tape in iron on fabric too! I bought mine at Walmart in the office section.

I got a Brother P-touch at Costco that came with two rolls. It was about $25 and accepts a couple of different widths of tape. I love it! It looks like this: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...=1&topnav=&s=1 but is NOT the commercial one.

HTH!

I have a Dymo Letra Tag machine--around $20 or so I think--that prints on white tape (paper) OR plastic--and it's not a raised letter. I use it all the time. And it really works great if you're putting a label on the spine of a CD case! Just put it on, and use and exacto knife to trim the edges of the label.

I have a Brother label maker that I bought at Office Depot. If I recall correctly, it retails for about $30, but they go on sale for half price at least a couple of times a year - one of those times is late summer/back to school time.
