Default How to store crystal effects

I store my CE upright and everytime I go to use it, the tip is clogged :(.

I was thinking of storing it upside down to see if that helped? Hmmm . . .

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks.

I'm not sure storing it upside down would prevent clogs. I would just keep a straight pin handy and pick the clogs out.

I agree - but don't store the pin IN the tip - I did this and it rusted and got yucky. I did at one time have a pretty bad clog and was able to push it out fom the bottom/lid side of the tip. Since then, though, I haven't really had any problems with it.

I keep a large open safety pin taped to the lid. That way when I want to use it, the pin is right there and I can get the clog out.

Wouldn't it be fabulous it CE came in a container like Super Glue, where there is a pin built in that keeps the opening clear all the time?!?

Thanks everyone! I guess I was just hoping for an easier solution

I like the idea of a built in pin - let's get on the phone to DS!!!

I have not had a problem since I started keeping the original cap that comes on it. After each use, I rinse out the applicator tip and put the screw cap back on the bottle. Kind of a pain, but my tip is never clogged now. I have done the pin in the top and experienced the rust issue too.

After reading here to store it upside down, which I tried, I have never had a problem since.

Just use your CE to glue your pin in the lid I use a pin and haven't had any rust problems. It's a new tiny sewing straight pin with a tiny ball on the end. The lid goes on top with np. Upside down? That's creative! I would fear leaks but since it works I'll have to try that!

Of course you have to make sure the lids on tight lol..but when stored upside down theres always wet CE in the point so it dosn't dry out.

My disgusting solution (as I am the only that used my crystal effects): When I'm done using it for the day, I remove the cap, blow through the tip and ta da...no more clogs!

I store mine laying down (on it's side) and it has worked clog free for me tha last few times I have use it. There are usually a couple of bubbles that need to be taken care of though!

Ok, what is the applicator tip and where do you get it????????? I got mine in May with my kit and I don't think it came with another lid, but maybe my memory isn't sharp. Would be no surprise to me!!!
