Default Stamping on Primas?

I love the primas that are printed with a design..... If I wanted to stamp on a prima ... what kind of ink do I use???

TIA

I'd use staz-on or use a dye ink then heat set it. Staz-on might work the best though, with no smear. I tried embossing on my primas, it didn't work out very well because the flower was too small and the design too big. But let us know how it works out stamping on them! That sounds kinda cool

I guess I could just experiment...... not like I don't have enough ... LOL
I'm trying to recreate a card and don't have another "printed" prima that matches the one I used before.

I think it's just it is the weekend and not a lot of people really on and posting. Hopefully someone who has already done this will see it and can help you out. I hope so anyway!

I found some examples in the gallery of some who altered or stamped on Primas. Here they are, I hope it helps a bit!

Liz's HCE10

Puppy Love (she didn't stamp on the Primas but painted them)

Another stamped Prima

Lovely Lavendar altered Prima

Inked Primas

Hope that helps a bit!

Below is a link to a video on the GinaKDesigns StampTv. It shows how to color and stamp a flower.

That's an awesome video tutorial GinaK has - should have known she'd have one! Very cool. Thanks for sharing.

You can also use Tim Holtz Distress Inks to stamp on Prima's as well. They don't bleed and I love that I can take a plain white flower and color or stamp a image on it to match my project. Love, love, love my distress inks!

Here's a Youtube Video with Jennifer McGuire and towards the end of the video she shows how to use distress inks to color and stamp different types of flowers.

In fact, the whole video is about how to use distress inks.

LOL, it's fun isn't it. Be careful though, you will want to stamp every flower you get your hands on..hehe. You can also buy flower bundles at the dollar store, take them apart and do the same thing. Like I said, I use my distress inks so they don't bleed, and they look beautiful. I try to stick with the white/off white flowers and then I can use my inks to match my flowers to my project. If you have some flower punches, you can do the same thing. Have fun!
