Default Cuttlebug photo corner die

I picked up the Cuttlebug photo corner die at M's yesterday and am a tad confused. Is it supposed to make TWO with one cutting?? A "solid" corner and "frame" corner?? Do I use these together?? Does anyone else have this die? Any help would be appreciated!!

Default cuttlebug photo corner

I think the "V" shape is to be used on the front of the card corner, the other piece goes to the back- just like the photo corners you buy for scrapbooks or regular photo albums. So you slide the corner of your card "into" the photo corner.

I called Provo Craft a few months ago with this very question. Here is the answer they gave me:

The corner die is supposed to cut two pieces. One with a big V in it, and the other is just a rectangle with 2 slits in it.

The one with the V in it is supposed to be folded in half right in the middle of the V. Then use the slits to slide your picture, cardstock, whatever into.

The rectangle should be folded on the slits to form a triangle. Slide your paper, etc. into the triangle.

I hope this isn't clear as mud! You really have to look at the die to figure it out.

HTH's

Hate to be a bother but, after playing with the pieces for a bit, still am a bit confused. Do you have any pictures of how it's supposed to go? I so do appreciate it!!

Okay, this particular die makes me feel so stupid! Your post was so helpful! It seems like the rectangle piece is really the most useful. I'm playing with the folded V piece and am still not sure how it could be adhered to cardstock so you could still take a picture in and out of it... Is this what is tripping you up too, Bubink?
