Got my platform a couple of days ago and had a chance to play with it. Love that it is made very sturdy and open on two sides. I plan to use some 12 x 12 paper in it for corner stamping. A little heavier than my MISTI. Both platforms are very good and will use both.

Mine arrived yesterday and I'm already in love. Very sturdy and I love just flipping the cover for rubber vs. clear. My only issue is that my stamping space is such that I have to use it with the cover opening to the left. Stampers Anonymous also included two Tim Holtz stencils and a 15% off coupon as a thank you for your patience.

I've had to reorient myself with the flip too.

How nice of Stampers Anonymous, speaks well of them. It's not like they had anything to do with the delay. I'd take a Tim stencil any day. : )

More and more I'm liking the open sides on this one. Even though I don't use big sheets of cardstock as often I like the uncramped feeling. I get a good image even near the bumpers which had been a problem before.

a whole 20 mins I lasted! 20 mins...ordered it from Simon Says Stamps...but to be fair, it is cheaper then ordering it from somewhere here in Canada, and I will go to the Creativ Festival in October and pay $$$ for it....I can justify this can't I?

You so can! So in a way you made money! Where will you spend it?

I was going to offer to say I hated the Tim platform but couldn't find a crossed-fingers-behind-my-back icon.

Welcome to the obses... er, club Jukie.

Lol Well OK. I was trying to come up with a couple of features that would push you over the edge. How about you can hate it after you get it? You might have to find a different forum to get an agreement on that though?

I received my US version today. Below pictures are of the UK version and then the US version. The only differences have already been stated - the ruler doesn't touch and the ruler is not raised on the US version. Not sure if the pictures are clear enough to see the difference, but thought I would share.

I'll just have to paste a shiny grey square up in the corner. Actually I'm selfishly relieved that the US one doesn't have some to die for new feature for me to be disgruntled about. Thanks bzzzeee for posting the pictures.

And the ruler on the UK version has a little curve at the top right corner. Which isn't exactly a corner since it curves. Plus the left-hand ruler is lower - closer to the Tonic name. I think maryalena pointed that out somewhere in these 638 posts or in the other thread.

Heaven help me but I'm still confused about the raised vs. un-raised ruler. The UK ruler isn't flat on the board "table." So the US one is even higher. I'll see one soon enough.

maryalena, we have the oldie but goodie aka classic.

I like the look of the UK classic better! I am also confused about the raised vs. unraised...maybe it is the digits and lines themselves that are raised? I am waiting for my order to arrive to see it in person. I was late to the party and didn't order until May 22nd, so I am probably on the bottom of the pile of orders!

I'm not sure if this picture will help with what the difference is with one raised and the other is not. The UK version is on top and you see that the whole ruler is raised. The US version on the bottom shows that the ruler is not raised.

Oh, you're the best! I get it. (I have the UK.) And no difference in terms of paper positioning, etc? Thank you so much.

I'm worn out with this walking it off thing. When the TH mini comes out I'm buying one from every country.

I'd love a mini. But prefer your earlier name for it..

I should have walked off the WRMK bundle. Really no need, no true advantage wince I have the Tim and a Misti. Except it is open on two sides, and small and light weight - that might come in handy.

Just got my new US-version stamp platform today. Whoo hoo! Can't wait to try it out!

Scrapbook.com had them on sale as part of their Tonic sale. No free shipping, but I'm still thrilled!

I have the UK version, and just used it for the second time. Want to say, I love it, love it! For my style of stamping, it is so much more user friendly than the Misti I have.

The freedom to use any size of paper and not have to cut it beforehand to fit it into a box, like the Misti has, makes all the difference to me! Also, the magnets are just strong enough, but easy to move around. You can just slide them off the edge, and don't have to pick them up to move them.

I'm very happy with my purchase.

I sent an email to Tonic yesterday suggesting that they consider making a mini. I would certainly buy one since my desk space is pretty limited. I seem to be collecting these things.

I just checked and mine still hasn't shipped. I guess I am waiting in a very long line! Happy for those of you who have gotten yours already! (Still waiting for my second set of oxide inks too. I guess I waited too long to order those too!)

Huzzah! Mine, originally ordered in Feb/ Mar, came Saturday! Looks really nice. Now to put it through it's paces. I am sort of in awe of it because of the prolonged anticipation. Maybe I need to circle and sniff it as my boxer would do to get acquainted? With the time we previously spent following every bit of news about the TH Platform, let's start a campaign to urge Tonic to proceed with The Tiny Tim asap. If we don't call it a mini maybe we will be in the clear legally.
Yes, we need a gallery of Parrot Portraits with the Platform!

I waited until May 22nd to order from Marco's, so you're not alone! Hope you get a shipping notice soon. I am almost relieved mine is not here yet because I am swamped with caretaking right now and wouldn't have time to check it out!

Yes, we need a gallery of Parrot Portraits with the Platform!
Love the Tiny Tim!

I think you will find this tool to be very user friendly! I slapped a stamp on mine the minute I took it out of the box and have never looked back!!
