Default Has anyone else worn their wizard die cut machine out???

Sheesh! I think I've worn my trusty wizard out. It will no longer let me ratchet the plates through it. I've got a nasty blood blister on my finger where the handle and my hand went down and hit the table (when it wasn't supposed to!). Has anyone else had any problems with their older dark purple wizard? I wonder if they sell replacement ratchet handles for it?

I would contact them - I know when I looked into buying a die cutter I was told that one should last nearly forever.

There is a limited lifetime warranty -

My ratchet broke, I called, a recording answered the 800 number, but their regular line was answered promptly by a live person ......... a new handle was sent out that day. It was easy to install, they even sent an allen wrench.

Thanks for the info gals! I have emailed them and explained the problem with my ratchet, so maybe I'll hear from them tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll replace my ratchet.

I just now saw this thread; I have gotten two free ratchets from Spellbinders, and the last one I have had for nearly a year and found I didn't need it after all. They were always very accommodating!

I will agree with what everyone said. I too thought I wore mine out, but after reading a thread about the Limited Lifetime warrenty, I figured what did I have to lose. I too got a new handle after talking to someone nice on the phone and I am happy to say it works better than ever. I was really happy because I was really getting to be friend with my Wizard.
