I've never used this gun, but i believe the refills are quite expensive, even with a coupon. I did end up buying the ATG-50 at the Tape Depot, for less than $50 and that included 12 refill rolls.
I have the GGP and I like it! I make cards, and i like the small size better than the ATG. It may be a bit more expensive for refills, but I'm happy with my decision! you can get 40 ft. high tack (not going anywhere after you stick it!) or 60 ft repositionable (like post it note tackiness).
i have one and love it. I too was tired of the little adhesive runners, seemed like I was always buying them!!! So, Purchased one before christmas and just love it. They ship really fast, got refills in 2-3days.
Can you get this in a store or the refills in a store? I am tired of going thru so much adhesive in little time, I feel like I am always going to the store for adhesive..TIA ~Stef
My local scrapbook store is where I got mine. Haven't seen them in the chain stores around me yet. Ebay has a seller that has 3 refills for 20.99 and free shipping!
I purchased the GGP with refills but would sure like to get a better price. A friend has the ATC gun and says her refills are lots cheaper. But I love the size of the GGP...just wish the refills were less money. I'm thinking about the ATC now...
As said on many similar threads, you can get refills (PermaTac, HighTac and Repositionable) directly from GlueArts.com and they frequently have BOGO (which means the refills are about $4.50 each).

I purchased my glue glider pro refills on glueart.com website. This one is sufficient for me right now, I may get larger one in the future.

I went and got mine this morning, I thru a few cards together just to try it and I love it, I think it is pretty lightweight too! I was expecting it to be heavier, I got mine at Hobby Lobby and I used a 40% off coupon so I paid 8.99 (originally 14.99) for it they have the refills for 8.99.
Love mine. I love the 40 ft. high tack, ain't movin after it's down. I tried the 60 ft repositionable, but I'm just not big on repositionable. Yes it is $8+ for a 40 ft roll but it works and I don't have to wonder after I mail it if it fell apart. I bought mine (buy one get one free) at GlueArts.com and can also get refills at Hobby Lobby with a coupon. Love the size, easy to use, and works great!

I have the ATG as well and LOVE it! Also, just b/c everyone is talking about the refills. These are 36 YARDS! And stick stick stick!!!!
I just got the GGP too and I think it's awesome! I was tired of using liquid (zip dry, although I love it too) for layering. I didn't know if I would like it or not but I do and I love that it's dry, easy to use, lightweight and sticks!
I went to HL today to pick up the GGP and couldn't figure something out. How is it more economical to get the GGP and refills when the refills are $8.99 for 40 feet and the refills for the Tombow are $3.99 for 39 feet?? Won't you still be going through the same amount of refills as the smaller tape dispensers?? I REALLY wanted to buy it but couldn't justify paying twice the price for the same amount of tape.
I bought one from my LSS. And must say I love it. Use it all the time. Haven't had any issues. In fact my little sister tried it once and got one for herself. I likle the fact they are alot smaller then the ATG

GGP comes with 40 feet, but High-Tac refills are 60 feet.
I have one, sell the gun and refills at my store, and love it. The first batch I ordered flew out the door, and the second order is going quickly too. It last a lot longer than the Mono-Adhesive. I still love my Mono-Multi glue the best, but for certain things I use the GGP and am quite pleased with it's performance.
ok, I think next time HL has the 40% off coupon I'll get one...this week it's only25% off BUT all paper & certain stamps and embellishments are 50% off so have to make the hours drive...:-D
Do they make a smaller ATG gun?? I love the size of my glue glider, but I just bought one two days ago, made three projects (Not cards) and I ran out of tape!
When I make something and I use my Glue Glider Pro. I don't use a ton of tape. Just a little around the corners and two on the side and a little bit in the middle of the card.
I've made about 25 cards and I'm still on my first Tape Cartridge. I did get a new one in case I ran out. I also found them at my Local Hobby Lobby. and I use my 40% off coupon to purchase the tape cartridge.
I was trying to decide which to get....the atg714 or the glue glider pro. I am extremely happy with my atg714. Yes the gun is more expensive up front ($36 vs $15), but the refills take up hardly any space (very important to me) and it's about $3 for 36 YARDS of tape. Also, the tape really sticks! I was so tired of things falling apart that I had made using my tombow.:( The atg is big, but it is extremely easy to use (and get use to) AND you'll never misplace your tape runner again.;)
I got mine at http://www.framingsupplies.com/3M/3MATGTape.htm. It only took 2 or 3 days to receive it. HTH
BTW, the glue glider pro didn't seem like a very good deal when the refills cost SO much.
Tammy:cool:
Melissa, I don't think there is a smaller ATG gun, however, Glue glider does have a larger model and from what I understand, refills are a lot less expensive. Let me know what you decide on as I will probably buy something bigger in the near future.
Thanks,
Julie
I just bought this glue glider, I loved it when I first used it, but then the tape ran out so fast. I think I may just get an ATG gun, will have to watch the sales. Well see what I can afford in the coming weeks.
