The tape depot makes one that runs around $25 and I know some people here are using this one instead of the scotch one. I would have this one except I didn't know about it when I purchased mine. Here's a link to look at the tape deopt one. http://www.thetapedepot.com/cart/com...mart/Itemid,1/
I would highly recommend the ATG because of the length of adhesive on the roll compared to other dispensers.

Do you know how much the 3M 714 weighs compared to the tape depot one?

I have the glue glider... I like it...well sort of. I'm still trying to get used to it. I've always used the duck adhesive so I'm having a hard time adjusting. I figured I would try it and if I liked it then I would upgrade to ATG, but to be quite honest I don't think I will. I like my glue glider, but I still find myself reaching for my duck brand or the tombow mono adhesive... I guess it's all about your comfort level.

I decided against it bc the refills are very expensive (basically work out to the same cost as Tombow refills). In Canada they run up to $12 for a 40 ft. refill....that's DOUBLE the price of tombow!!

I also don't like the fact that the refills are cartridges rather than just tape. I'm sure that adds to the cost.

I got an ATG gun for my birthday and I love it. While it is more expensive investment up front, the tape lasts FOREVER. Well worth it in the long run.

I get refills from GlueArts (the mfg) - if you watch, they have BOGO sometimes - so half price is about $4.50/box and if you buy in bulk you get free shipping.

What I used before (HermaFix Vario) is $7.95 a box IF you can find it. Thats just $1 less than GlueGlider retail - and not as much adhesive.

I talked to a GlueArts rep, and they are looking at options for recycling the cartridges to help cut production costs.

The more I use it, the more I like it! I've tried PermaTac, the HighTac and the Repositionable. It's so nice to be able to switch back and forth between them!

I love the glue glider pro. It is by far my favorite adhesive. Easy to use and stays stuck!! no burnishing required! Yes the refills are pricey. I either BOGO as mentioned on their website or use HL coupons for refills. What has significantly helped me cut my costs is I was using way to much. I had used the tombow monoadhesive prior and you needed to put a strip on the whole border of the layout/card and really burnish it or it fell off. So when I first started using the Glue Glider I put on a whole strip down the borders. I've now realized a much smaller application in the corners and if its a sb page a bit in the center of the borders is all I need and it stays stuck. so the refill is lasting much longer cuz I use much less. Make sense?

Glue Glider Pro

I have the "Pro" love it. I only make cards, and have used it for small posters, or I should say, decorating the poster. Do check the mfg. website, the have BOGOs, ship promply. Our nearby, Craftmart is now saying they have it (haven't been there yet) and they do have coupons, could get my refill with one, I'm sure. I have been stamping 17 years, am a senior, and its small size is very "nice" to my older hands :)
