Gay wedding couple - stamp or digi?

Does anyone out there know if there is a gay (females) wedding couple stamp or digi out there? A friend asked me to make her a card with a girl in a tux & 1 in a wedding dress for a wedding she's attending in April & I don't know if I can find anything out there for it. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I could only find one with both women in bride dresses.

Maybe you could make a card like this but make both fishes pink.

Good luck. Please post your card when finished - would love to see it.

I don't know how formal looking of a card you're hoping to make. Would something like this be suitable?

Maybe draw hair (or cut it from scraps of cardstock) to make both the smiley faces look more feminine?

I hope you find something that will work for you. I, too, would enjoy seeing what you create!

I went looking on google a little because I was curious about this. I think the manufacturers of stamps, and other things like wedding apparel have been caught a little flatfooted by the increasing number of gay weddings.

I saw lots of articles about the lack of appropriate "tuxedo" type clothing for women, should they want to wear a suit instead of wedding dresses for their wedding. Men's tuxedos just do not fit a woman's body.

I'm sure they will catch up as Americans increasingly realize that everyone should have the right to marry who they love.:)

I have an idea in my head, just don't know if it will work or if I can make it presentable but I will play around with it. I have a bride stamp (so pretty) from Hanna stamps (a long time ago & no longer in business) & a man in a suit (also from Hanna stamps, so I'm going to try & take a digital girl with short hair image that I have & then stamp & color the body of the man & his suit, cut off the head & put that together for the other girl...tadah...wedding couple. I'm hoping that one of the digital companies I wrote to will come up with something though but that will be my backup if I can make it work. Will post the card sometime the middle or end of March on my blog.

Thanks everyone. I agree with you Buggainok....the stamping world needs to catch up with the times.

Well I made the Gay wedding card & I'm happy with how it turned out. Here is the link to my card, take a look & let me know what you think?

Great card, Rita! Very pretty. Good job of improvising. I can't believe that it is so hard to find LGBT stamping images for mainstream use. Let's hope that some of the stampmakers you contacted listen.

There also is a shortage of images of people of other ethnicities (Asian, African-American, Native American) which are not stereotypes. How about some images of these people in everyday life--not always warriors or Indian "princesses" or in dance regalia, or Kimonos, or whatever? At least Mo's Digital Pencil offers some of those options--and I admire and thank her for that!

Don't mean for this to be a highjack. It really isn't. I'm only saying that it is about time for stamp and digi producers to reflect and celebrate the diversity of our world.

Thanks for sharing your card!
