Okay, stamper girlfriends... here is another for ya!
I purchased a VersaMARKER way back when I first learned of SU!. Sadly enough, I never used it. Thought I would... but I learned I had no idea how to use it or what it was for. SO... I decided to break it out and give it a whirl again... (only to find that after six years things tend to dry up a bit, he he he...)
Should I order another VersaMARKER? And if so, WHY? Tell me what all I can do with this little gadget. Pleeeeeaase.

I don't use mine often but used it recently. I stamped 2 champagne glasses and colored the 'champagne' with the versamarker and dusted it with pearl-ex. The versamarker made an area that the pearl-ex would stick to, then I covered the pearl-ex with diamond glaze to seal it in. It would also work if you wrote something with the versamarker and then chalked it. The chalk would be darker where you wrote with the versamarker.
I use it when I only want to emboss part of an image. For example, I recently made some gift tags and wanted to put glitter on the stars only. I "colored" them with my Versamarker, put glittery embossing powder over them, and embossed

I use mine fairly frequently actually. Lately, it has been because of Holy Triptych. I've been embossing that border stamp, but not the swirly bits inside. The marker makes that possible. I''ve also used it if I wanted to emboss only a tiny area ie I've made my own "ornament" on a card with a circle of paper and want to add the little metal topper. I've also used it with dazzling diamonds to make little "spots" of glitter (much the same way you would use stickles - I only discovered stickles a couple months ago and only have one colour).

Hay KellyJean! I LOVE EP! I use my VM pad quite a bit. I'm like you, I bought the VMarker and it *sat* quite a while with my stuff. I was makin' a Halloween 3 page scrapbook layout of my 3 DGS . Embossin' away on cut out stamped images to use as stickers. Then the wonderful light bulb moment - I used the VMarker for small lines, spaces on the images with EP.. it worked great! I also use glue and fine glitter on them.
There is a VersaMark reinker. I haven't tried it, but possibly you could *refresh* your VMarker w/ it. Good luck!
Hopefully someone else can give us some suggestions.
May God bless, Sandi

Reason: clarifying my ramblings
Well, I haven't used mine really either. But do have a couple of ideas:
1. Get Watermark look as with Versamark pad, but use marker when don't want to use entire stamp image. (kind of like embossing partial image as suggested above). 2. Again, Poppin' Pastels or versamark resist when don't want to use entire stamped image. 3. Watermark Journal or Title on Med-Dark Cardstock?
You can "touch" up any areas of an embossed image, that didn't quite emboss, sprinkle on more EP, and "fix" the mistake. Or sign you name in cards and emboss. Linda
I've heard about using it to emboss part of an image, but the EP never seemed to stick! It doesn't seemed dried out though. I guess i'll try again. Thanks for your help.
I used it on this card to apply the snow (embossing powder) on the rooflines and ground and to dot the cs with falling snowflakes for embossing. I woudn't have been able to dot that without the pen.
Hmmm, I have a version of a similar product (mine's by Ranger, I think). I was sort of stuck on thinking of it just as a tool to write verses and sign my name, but this gives me a lot of new ideas. Thanks all!
You can also use it to pick up chalk, or ink for watercoloring, just like with a blender pen. The advantage, of course, is that your coloring can then be embossed.
I bought one too b/c I loved to emboss. I could never get mine to make the EP stick, so it ended up in the bottom of my drawer. Recently, I purchased a 4-pack of Zig embossing markers (double-ended with 8 different tips) from Oriental Trading and LOVE them. They work VERY well. I don't know what was wrong with my Versamarker, but now I am sold on the Zig embossing markers.
