Frames for name frames?

1 Attachment(s)
I love doing the name frames that I see in the framed art gallery but have a hard time finding frames that work. I feel like I've looked everywhere (Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, 99 cent store, Target). Where do you guys find frames that work? All I've found are 8x10s but I'd like the longer frames (I think 5x16 is what I've seen on here).

Also, if anyone has done the painted domino art seen below, where did you find a good frame? I wound up buying a shadow box from Michaels and spray painting it.

Help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I get mine at Walmart but not where the bulk of frames are - they are near there but in the center aisle. Super cheap ($2-4). Not saying every walmart will do this, but be sure to check those aisles!

I got mine at Wally World also. They were on an endcap.

Aren't you at work??? :o
I was just doing the same thing you are! Goofing while the kids are asleep. I saw your post and thought .. hey, Jackie would probably like to know where to get those! And it's you. by the way, it's me, Lindsey.

Good luck - I hope you find some frames!

The dollar stores generally have a lot of them.

I saw a frame in the unfinished wood section at Mike's yesterday that looked like it would work well. Can't remember how much it was or what size exactly, but I hadn't noticed them before so they might be new.

$3 at Wal-Mart

I found them at Wal-Mart. In our supercenter they were back by the eggs. On a display in the middle of the aisle between the pillows and mini blinds. $3 each. They are matted to hold two 4x6 pictures. If you don't find them, Jackie, let me know and I'll pick some up for you.

Sweet! I'll see if I can run to our Wal-Mart tonight but if I can't find them, I'll let you know. Thanks Lindsey!

I just bought a bunch at Wally's yesterday. Same location that others mentioned. They had a basic black as well as slightly more decorative maroon colored one. I plan on sanding them down slightly and repainting them to better match the project. Good luck finding them!

I got my last few at the Dollar Tree. Not especially well made, but how often do you find the perfect tween metallic turquoise frame. See my gallery, LOL!
