Found at Walmart-Ribbon Holder

I didn't buy one, so I don't have one to post, but back in craft dept. around the beads, I found a ribbon compartment box that holds 17 rolls of ribbon, different sizes, and it only cost $8.47. It seemed very sturdy, and well worth the money. If I get a chance to go back today, I will get one and post a picture.

A stamper/scrapbooker friend has more than one of these ribbon holders. They are pretty nice. Sturdier than SU!'s ribbon holders. I don't have one because I have gutters that my husband installed in my stamping room for my ribbons.

I would love to see a pic!

I looked at those several months ago at our Walmart, but I didn't think that the larger rolls of the grossgrain would fit in them so I passed.. if someone has these and they fit, please post. thanks, Pam

If I had a spool of 5/8" grosgrain I would take it and find out.

Gutters! How cool is that? Very clever!

My Dad made me one similar to this and I LOVE it!

Yup, I use gutter, too. I have 4 lengths of it attached to the side of a bookcase as I don't have any wall space in my stamping room. It's lightweight, easily accessible, and cheap!

Don't you just love Dads?

I love what he did for you. My only suggestion would be to shorten the space between the troughs. Does is work for all ribbons sizes?

My Dad is handy too, so I am thinking of having him build me one. So any feedback you have about how it works, what you like and what you wish it had. I would love to hear from you.

Cindy

I bought the 8.47 ribbon holder at Wal-Mart and thought it was the greatest thing since PeanutButter and Jelly...However, I later came across another ribbon holder for 4.17 at Pat Catans (craft stores located around Ohio) and I love the design of it better....Much easier to get the ribbon out of and cut.
This is just my own opinion...There isn't anything wrong with the one from Wal-Mart. Just didn't suit my own needs as well.

I love these things! I have two of them, need like 10 more, lol! Here is a picture of mine with some ribbon in it...

Yes Cindy...that would be a good idea (to shorten the space. Mine is taller than I thought, but since my Dad made it, it doesn't matter. I asked him if he wanted a "job" making them for some of my stamping friends and he said "I don't think so". lol It was a little more work than he (or I) expected.

Those look very nice!

Love the gutter idea! I use oldfashioned wire chicken egg baskets! same idea, they can hang or sit on a shelf, just a little less modern, more "quaint" LOL

I am going to have to go check out the ribbon holder at wal-mart. I really need a better place to store my ribbon and get it out of the baskets that it is currently stored in. The gutter idea sounds great also.

walmart ribbon holder

I bought the walmart ribbon holder and find it is hard to pull your ribbon out of. It does have slots inside you can take out if you need to store thicker ribbon so I do like that feature. I haven't used it too much yet but will let you know later how things are going with it. Happy Stamping !! Beckaroni
