Problem with my Vagabond (1)

I’ve had my Vagabond -the first one- for many years and I’ve never had a problem even though I use it a lot. I use it primarily with the Sizzix magnetic platform but yesterday I needed to die cut a longer die so I pulled out my longer platform that came with it. I was surprised that It did not cut through the paper at all! The sandwich I used: platform, cleat plate, paper & die, clear plate. It seemed like the rollers weren’t touching the sandwich! Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix? Did this happen because I always use the magnetic platform & eventually the rollovers changed tension? Or is it time for a new machine? Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Does the longer platform need the shim plate?  It's a thin piece for use with thin dies. That's what replaced the old platform that was flipped open.

There is a separate shim that comes with the Vagabond to be used with the platform. If you place your magnetic platform next to the extended one, you can see the difference. Hopefully you have that extra shim and just forgot about it!
