Default Ink pad storage confusion

I was just reading the tips and trick section of the Winter 04 Stamp It. The tip on storing ink pads--stored lid up but store pigment ink pads upside down. I always thought that it was the other way around or at least store the dye inks upside down (I have the old style SU pads). The newer style of SU pads does this automatically. What gives? Are we really supposed to store the pigments upside down? Also, how do you store your spectrum/kaleicolor pads, etc.?
Thanks!!! jg

Default

I store my spectrum's upside down!

My Staz on right up and my versamark I sort of rotate!

I have the new ink and yes they are upside down already!

If you have the old ink pads i'd still store them upside down!

That's me though!

Default Ink Pad Storage

I was always taught that dye inks should be stored upside down (which is right side up for a SU! pad) and pigment inks should be stored right side up (which is upside down for a SU! pad). Confused?? When the dye (classic) pads are stored properly you will be able to read the writing on the side of the pad. When the pigment (craft) pads are stored properly you will only be able to read the writing on the side of the pad if you are standing on your head. LOL!
