Default SCAL with Cricut - how to change a double line?

So I found a file with an image of a teapot that I want to use for a quilt I'm making for my friend. The problem is that the file, when shown in SCAL, has 2 lines - so the Cricut cuts it twice - thus messing up the fabric.

Any advice on how to make it one solid line? I tried to edit the image in fotoflexer using the thin line of the sketch feature to create a smaller line - but it didn't work...still cutting a double line.

TIA for any help.

Yup, just select and break apart, deleting the outer line.

Thanks! I'm not sure how to delete the outer line. I've done the "break apart" thing. Then pressed delete and it's left a shaded image of what I'm trying to cut - the space in the handle that's supposed to be a hole is still very dark though. If I wasn't baby sitting right now I'd go test it on some paper...hmm. Maybe because I pressed delete it erased the outer line already?

Nevermind! I think I figured it out! Thank you so much! I've only used SCAL for one other thing so far and I'm loving it! Just trying to figure out how to use it is my problem.

If you can't get it, head on over to the SCAL forum at craftedge.com. Then you can upload your file and get some more help. It would be much easier to help if I could see what you are looking at.

It truly depends on what it is. Even with a simple outline, often the inner line retains more detail from the trace. If it is a more complicated design with inner detail, you need to get rid of the outer line. But it sounds like she might need to delete the inner line instead. hard to tell without seeing.
