What an interesting product. Is it available in the US? I'd love to give it a try.

OakvilleMom 10-03-2008 02:00 PM

You can buy it in many colors at www.stampingbella.com

It looks like another product I will just *have* to buy. LOL.

I see you're in Michigan. A U.S. company selling it is Flourishes, a member company here at SCS. Stamping Bella is also, but sometimes the shipping is higher from Canada.

Check out www.allthatscraps.com too!

So, you can use it by just dotting glue and sprinkling? Do you think it would last through a trip with the mail? I love the natural look it gives the samples above!

Hanna Stamps carries it also. I just ordered some at the release party last nite. Reasonably priced also.

I just got some green from Hanna Stamps but I have to find out how to use it. I put glue on with a glue pen, but it wasn't enough to get it to stick. I am dreaming of fuzzy Christmas trees and bushes but am too tired to play with it any more today.

on one of the sites that sells it, they say to use PVA glue. That glue will hold about anything :)

me loves flowersoft :) A beautiful product! Flowersoft recommends an AILEEN PVA glue which holds it wonderfully :) the great thing is that you can mix your own colors.. once it is dried, it does not fall off the card.. beautiful to make floral stems as well.. and just remember ladies.. never DUNK your project into the flowersoft, always SPRINKLE!
hope this helps

What does PVA stand for? Can you get it at local stores like Michael's, etc? I just don't have money for an order right now. My new fuel pump on my old car set me back 515 unexpected dollars yesterday... please give me hope on this one! I have some flower soft but nothing to use it with, apparently! :(

NancyK. 10-04-2008 11:56 AM

You will need a tacky glue to use flower soft - Aileens is what is recommended and you can get that almost anywhere. I tried using a quickie glue pen, but it just wasn't tacky enough to hold the FS bits and pieces.

OMG! Wht's this stuff!

PVA stands for polyvinyl acetate. Basically, it's good old white glue. The reason Aileens is usually better than Elmers is because it's thicker so it doesn't run so much and takes less time to dry. You can buy Aileen's at the big craft stores - usually in the wood crafting section.

Bummer about your car Cindy!

I just got some at the Heirloom convention (from the Impression Obsession booth). It's a little like fun flock only it has a spongy texture and comes in both varigated and solid colors.

Suzy_H 10-04-2008 06:07 PM

There is an article on it at www.craftcritique.com with great pics.

I bought several colors from Stamping Bella, but have only used it on one card so far. If you click on my blog link (on the card link below), you can see a close up of the Flower Soft.

It's a product similar to fun flock that you apply with glue. The difference between flower soft and fun flock is that flower soft is almost like individual little curly-q's and the texture is spongy/springy. It's definitely thicker/more 3D than fun flock and it comes in varigated colors as well as solid. Check out the links above for pics.
