Fiskar Embossing Texture Plates

Could someone please give me the measurements for the Fiskar Embossing Texture Plates??? I have seen a picture of these, but they don't give the dimensions. These are the plates that come two to a pkg. with four textures. They have names such as "Spirit", "Energy", "Nature", "Illusion", "Expression" and "Tranquility". Your help would be greatly appreciated! :)

If you're talking about the blue texture plates (one of mine is lines/waves) with 3 holes, they are 7 x 5-3/4 inches and a little thicker than a coin (US quarter).

The actual texture area is 5-1/2 x 5-1/4 inches.

HTH!

Can anyone tell me for sure if the Fiskars Textured Plates can be used in the Cuttlebug??

Did you try reading the Cuttlebug FAQ? It is right at the top of the Tool & Product Talk forum.

Yes, they can. But it requires some experimenting and extra stuff to make the 'sandwich' the right thickness. The link with info on how to do it is in the Cuttlebug FAQ.

Thanks for the "heads up"..........I didn't think to look there first!

Hi all - I just saw these in Target and was wondering how they actually work. Do they give a good clear impression? (I don't have a cuttlebug - I want to know how well they work just using the Fiskars Texturing Tool).

I'd like to try them, but was wondering if I could get feedback from someone who has already used them.

Thanks for any info you can give me.

I have two projects in my gallery using the same feathery Fiskars texture plate. The first one I created the texture using their rolly texture tool. It was all right, but I found I got much better, deeper, and more defined results using a stylus, as in the second link.

Hi, can I ask WHICH stylus you used? Was it the stylus or the Empressor from EK Success?

thanks!

I have used them with some success in the cuttlebug. You need to have some type of apparatus -- in my case I bought the Wizard accessory stuff that ellen hutson sells in her store. it works ok, but better if you mist the cardstock with water first. You do not get a deep impression like the cuttlebug folders, but these plates are very cheap!

I just used the stylus that came with the Fiskars Shapeboss kit. I've read many good things about the Empressor, tho, and if I could do it again I would have bought the Empressor rather than the big goofy Shapeboss kit.
