Default Sizzix Step up card dies and Grand Calibur

Will the new Sizzix step up card dies fit through the Grand Calibur?

Yes, I just got one last week and used my GC to cut it. Stephanie Barnard always tells you to 'Beware of Speed Bumps' when die cutting - putting your sandwich with the die even with the edges of the cutting plates. I bought my GC for half off and just hadn't been using it much - my Big Shot is my 'go to' die cutting machine. Since buying the Stand Up, Flip It and Step Up dies, my GC is getting a work out because it has a wider opening than the BS. I can place the dies at a real angle when cutting. (When using my BS, I could only have a very slight angle.) Also, the GC is made for wafer thin dies - Spellbinder dies.

Good luck and happy die cutting!

Thanks for the question. I'm looking to buy a Big Shot, since you can find them not so expensively on line. This really helps me know what to look for, as well as get a great buy. Just bought my first dies, the thin ones and they are Christmas.

Abby

Oh, I love some of the adorable names you guys have on here! I'm Abigail (Like Crystal Gale, whom mom was a fan of) and my daughter is Grace Rose. I'm a real newbie, but love this group so far!

I got that Grand Calibur on clearance at HL for 53. I love mine. I love being able to lay all my flower dies across it and just cut a full sheet out. FUN!!

I kept my epic for the big steel dies though. I'm a happy girl!!
