Haven't bought any premade cards in years...just make them using an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of cardstock, cut in half (either way depending on how you'd like the card to be) and you have two standard 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch cards. I often use some less expensive but still pretty good white card stock that I get from WalMart to use as the base and then adhere a decorated card front to it. There are some specialty type note cards that I've seen mentioned here like Fabriano (I believe that's it) and if you do a search on the forum I bet you'll find a post with a link for them. JulieHRR uses them and I'm sure she'd direct you if you send her a private message.
Thank for responding. I have a lot of cards to do and making them would take too much time. I am already behind on the card designs. AC Moore has the white card/base on sale for $2.99 (25 small) and $4.99 (50 -large/medium). I would like to find a place where I could purchase these in quantity of 100 or more. Thanks again!
I get 50 note cards with envy's at Wall-Martz. They are not heavy cardstock though, but slap a cardfront on em and it works for me. It costs about $4.50 per pkg of 50. Ivory and White are offered.

Is this in the office supply/stationery section? I have yet to find these packs at the local WM.
Another option for the OP is to buy a ream of Georgia Pacific or Domtar white 80# cardstock and get them cut down and possibly scored at your local Staples, Kinkos, wherever. That way you will have a nice weight of cardstock for your card bases at a nice price. I find the Halcraft card base packs from Mikes for example are both floppy and also a weird size. They *look* like standard invitation size, but when you go to put your 1/4 sheet card front on, it doesn't fit.

try Marco's Paper
I suggest Marco's paper. They offer excellent quality in bulk. http://marcopaper.com/prefolded.htm
I hope that link works.
You can order many different cardstocks in several amounts, prefolded cards, and they offer matching envelopes too. They also carry a lot of specility paer, inks and 'tools'. I like their stuff!

I've purchased them with a coupon at Michaels, but I didn't care for them. They don't seem to be quite the same size and aren't always folded correctly. Once those are gone, I'll go back to cutting and folding an 8.5 x 11 piece of CS. It really doesn't take much time and is less expensive and works better, IMO. I use the Georgia Pacific from WalMart and have found it to work very well. I never stamp or otherwise directly decorate the card itself; I always work with a "card front" and then adhere it.
One reason I like the Georgia Pacific CS is that it's not textured...I like textured CS for certain purposes but for the card base I find it makes it hard to write on or sign or even to stamp on. JMO.
I get mine from Marco's also. I get 1/2 sheets of card stock so then all I have to do is fold them. I got tired of cutting the sheets in 1/2 and then having them be crooked. And of course they have matching envelopes. I don't like their website, so I always just call and order.

I purchase bulk cards/envelopes from Marco's as well. Shipping costs are average and shipping a prompt. I also buy my glossy cardstock from them as well.

Marco's shipping
I cannot speak to their shipping as I have always been lucky enough to visit their retail location-HEAVEN-five pound boxes of end cut specialty papers for $5.00! And tons of other stuff on sale, like full sheets of handmade papers for $1.00. But you have to go to Dayton to get those deals!
But they offer great quality and selection from the website too, and you can compare sizes and weights easily.

Oh, are you lucky. I grew up in Dayton and the few times I have been back I have dropped in on their store. I would be in big trouble if I lived near by. My mom and I still send my brother over there to get stuff for us. My mom used to get their $5 boxes of scraps - unbelievable. I have a pile of it in my stamping room. It will take me years to get thru it.
