Enabler alert! Cuttlebug suitable storage in the Dollar Spot!

At Target I was attracted to this item in the dollar spot and put one in my cart...then while I was in line I realized that it would be PERFECT for Cuttlebug storage. While the cashier was scanning my stuff through, I ran back to the Dollar Spot and got another one. Once I got home, put it together and started trying it out, I wished I had bought more of them!

Here's some photos. The first one is the way it looks when you buy it, so you know what to look for. The other ones are of what it looks like assembled and filled. The small dies and embossing folders fit in there with enough room on the side for the bar dies. And it will also fit two, maybe three sets of alphabet dies. They come in only these two colors, as far as I can tell.

I can't believe I bought these, immediately brought them home, leaving the rest of the stuff I bought in the car (food? who needs that?), put one together, ran downstairs, filled it up, brought it back upstairs, took pictures and immediately came HERE to enable everyone! How twisted am I? I have a workshop tonight and I'm not even ready, yet here I am, doing this! I am CRAZY!

kansmom 04-26-2007 05:38 AM

snort! well that just makes me wanna make that run to Target right now!

kansmom 04-26-2007 05:39 AM

but . . . I think they need miniature dividers so you can tell which set is which without pulling each one out to see what it is.

allamericanstampers 04-26-2007 05:41 AM

You have your priorities in absolutely the right place!! I need a place to store my fiskars texture and the larger CB plates -- any ideas there? The photos help alot here, BTW! Thanks.

Do you think Targets will run out of stock by Friday?

I have a chance to get off the Rock tomorrow (Prom on Sat. night, and the girl needs "accessories" . . . need I say more? ) and there is a Target near the mall . . .

Or will you all have stormed every Target by then? ;)

frankie 04-26-2007 08:32 AM

Marvy Uchida makes a line of snap-together storage boxes with the name Ori Yoki on them -- I've been using them for my CB storage all along and they're perfect! They also make a larger one that will hold the embossing folders.

Shanon 04-26-2007 08:36 AM

J.....I can run to Tarjay' at lunch today? Would ya like me to grab some for ya?

I have some of those Ori Yoki boxes, they are really cute and affordable. Mine are the ones with the pink/red stripes. They look a lot like those boxes at Target that Jan is talking about here.

I have been searching for good CB storage. I bought some wood boxes from an online store that I am going to try out. I want something alterable that I can make cute(r).

calgramma 04-26-2007 08:42 AM

OKay....my Target didn't have ANY!!!! I looked it over 3 times looking for them....insert whine here.....Guess I'll have to have DS check, as he works there.

leney 04-26-2007 09:13 AM

Jan, thanks for posting this!!!!! I hope I can get to Target on Friday. Today is out becuase ff BYU graduation and Vice President Cheney speaking. Security will be tight and the traffic will be a mess but I think Friday I can go before the Track meet. That is if my DD doens't help moving her stuff out of her apartment. She will be home for 3 days and then she can move into her new apartment.
I wish we could just stamp and buy stuff all day don't you???

sprtchick 04-26-2007 10:06 AM

Off to one of the local Targets at lunch...

These are so cute..needed a good storage solution for my Cuttlebugger stuff.....it is multiplying so fast...lol

YouInkIt 04-26-2007 10:16 AM

Can I still get them even if I don't have a Cuttlebug yet? I mean, I have to be prepared for when I do, right? ;)

kansmom 04-26-2007 10:27 AM

run don't walk cause remember EVERYONE knows even when they are just lurking and haven't joined SCS!!! (not that I ever did anything like that!)
snort!!!

palval77 04-26-2007 11:25 AM

Thanks Jan.

Linda Seaman 04-26-2007 09:06 PM

Thanks Jan for the pics, without them I might have missed them, got some tonight. Think I'll use the second one for stickles, and the 3rd for.....not sure yet. Linda

snowcountry311 04-27-2007 01:53 AM

off to target today.maybe even two of them..
thanks

MWDStamp 04-27-2007 05:49 AM

Well, I guess I am off to Target. I have been trying to find something to put the embossing folders in and had no luck. These would be great - if there are any left!

cakingmn 04-27-2007 07:59 AM

I bought some of the plastic boxes that have handles on them. I have stored my pens, scissors, and one box is used to go to stamp camps {has a pair of scissors, my tape dispenser, bone folder, and pen}. Great little boxes.

Oh, you peach! I missed this post. Sorry. :(

I'm venturing off The Rock today, in search of some "support lingerie" for my DD's prom dress (dance is tomorrow night), and I'm hoping if we find what we need quickly, she'll grant me a few minutes at both Target and Michael's in Lynnwood so I can ogle all the new MS stuff. http://www.millan.net/minimations/sm...roolsmiley.gif

But, thank you. {{{{{Shanon}}}}}

mullycat 04-27-2007 08:55 AM

Thanks! Picked some up at Target yesterday and had fun organizing my Cuttlebug stuff last night (although I am embarrassed to admit how many dies I had to take out of the packages, having never been used, to put in the storage boxes!)

jtax 04-27-2007 09:49 AM

Just gotback from a trip to Target. Couldn't wait to open the package and put the little box together... One snap won't snap (boohoo!). I sure hope when I can get back (it was a 15 mile drive, so I won'r be going real soon) they will still have some left to exchange... (and I will check it out before leaving!)

Oooh, good idea. Target is an hour away from me, so I really should do this. I'd *really* be annoyed if I got all the way home and found the darn thing wouldn't snap. :?

Donnarie 04-27-2007 11:30 AM

I bought 6 of them...I'm planning of having LOTS of dies to store.

chemteacher 04-27-2007 11:39 AM

I'm glad I am not the only one that has stuff still in the packages!

Eternity 04-27-2007 05:39 PM

Got 3 of them today

Thanks

I bought these tonight. I don't have a cuttlebug, so no dies to store. They also work awesome for ink refills. :)

leney 04-28-2007 09:43 PM

I bought 5 of them will put them together on Tuesday or maybe Monday Night.
Thanks for sharing this fun enabler alert!!

Try it again. I had one that would not snap on the first try, gave it another try and pushed it together real hard and it snapped. Sometimes pressing it on a hard surface, like a solid wood table, might make it go.

Erin K 04-29-2007 05:26 PM

So they don't hold the embossing folders that are the bigger ones right? Or they do, just sideways? I gotta know if I need to run out to Target tomorrow.

Thanks for the idea. But, I did try that (believe me I tried and tried!) and then looked and noticed that one part of the snap is definately defective... Sure hope they still have them whenever I get back to Target!

argh. The Target I hit on Friday night had NONE of these snap containers. :? (muttering)

crazycatstamper 04-29-2007 07:09 PM

Oh, man.... I saw those yesterday and thought, "Cute, but what can I USE it for?", so I didn't get any. We'll see if they still have any left Tuesday when I'm back over that way, now that I actually have a "need" for them! LOL!

I did the same thing!! LOL But since I just went out and bought a Cuttlebug today at lunch - I better hit Target tomorrow and see if they still have some!! :D

If you don't mind the lid being off, they also fit the small rolls of SU's ribbon.:)
