I used Sakura for years and liked them, but I LOVE the inexpensive gel pens --metallic, flourescent and glitter I bought for $10.00 (36 pens!!) at Staples last December. They're in a very handy hard plastic case that folds out and stands up, and they bear the Staples brand. I've never seen them since, and i'm hoping that wasn't a one-time deal. They're fabulous. The glitter pens are pale to vibrant, color fast and color true. They flow well and go on smoothly. If you see them out there in California, grab them.
If I'm not using Wink of Stella brush markers I really like the Spica glitter pens. They give a subtle color and work especially well in small areas. I have all the Spica colors and have been very happy with them.
I do have the Spica's and love them.... And Sakura. But the Wink of Stella looks different - less like a pen and more like a marker--- does that make sense? Diane, you said they are brush markers????? I think that's what I'm looking for since I have the Spica's and Sakura's (which have been my mainstay for a long time - and I do still love them)

I don't use mine much but I use as little highlights on my cards or tags or lables by making little coodinating dash's or dot's all around the edges. I also have some tree stamps that are holiday ones with ornaments hanging from branchs or spring trees with flowers on them and I tend to use the gel pens to color those and give them a bit of sparkle.
May I ask how you use your gel pens? Novice to gels here.
I color with them as I do with other media. I outline, use them with stencils, highlight words and letters, etc. I have a lot of halftone stamps that I use gel pens (not glitter) to color faintly so they look like old, tinted photos --love that effect. I can't do that with water colors or acrylic paints or alcohol based markers because I can't control them well enough. Gel pens are easier for me to control.
