EK Success glass mats

Does anyone know if EK's glass mats are heat proof?? I threw the boxes away years ago. And can not remember.

The melting point of glass is around 1000 degrees, so I would assume that it is. Are you just wanting to heat emboss on it? What would you be using it for?

I've used mine to stick cling stamps to in order to trim the cling mount with a hot knife, and didn't have any problems with the glass cracking or shattering. Haven't used it for embossing, though.

Okay, that is perfect! I just wanted to make sure it won't crack or shatter when I use my Milwaukee heat gun on it. Or melted UTEE. So, I am assuming it is tempered then. Thank you guys for the input.

I still have the box for mine and there is absolutely no information on the box about whether it can withstand concentrated heat like that. You could always contact EK Success to see what they say. I presume its tempered glass, but I'd had to see you have an accident based on our limited knowledge.
