Question Know of a good stamping magazine?

I currently subscribe to Creating Keepsakes and Paper Crafts but have found I don't use them much. It's fun to look at and see everbody's layouts, but it's rare that I reference back to them even though I keep them all.

My main complaint is that neither ever do too much when it comes to stamping or showing cards that use stamped and colored images. Do you have any favorite stamping magazines that you subscribe to that keep you up to date w/the latest and greatest? and also teach new stamping techniques?

Thanks for sharing!:-D

Are you a SplitCoast Stampers Fan Club member? The dirty dozen gallery ROCKS and you would not be disappointed at all! One year costs about what a year subscription to any magazine costs and plus, you're supporting this awesome website.

Since discovering SCS with all the gallery pics, tutorials, etc. I buy magazines only rarely. When I do I buy Stamp It or Paper Crafts; however there's so much inspiration on this site I don't really enjoy the magazines like I used to. I agree with BasketMom that your money would be well spent by subscribing to SCS so you can access the DirtyDozen gallery.

I was just thinking I should give up my PaperCrafts subscription. I do enjoy some of their special issues, but I rarely use their designs. I agree, they don't show much stamping.

Default Thanks!

Thanks! I'm newer to the SCS website so I didn't even realize there was a Fan Club:mrgreen: I'll have to look into this option a little more.

I think SCS is better than any magazine I have subscribed to & takes up a lot less space.

If I want to look at Rubber Stamper and RubberStampMadness, I go to the library where I can check out previous month's issues.

I canceled most of my subscriptions after joining Technique Junkies and SCS.

I love all the Somerset magazines. There is the Stampers Sampler and Take Ten if you are looking mainly for cards.

www.patsstamps.com
she has a bymonthly colored newsletter that has about 11 to 12 new stamping techniques each time she puts a new newsletter out. So by the end of the year you willhave around 100 new stamping techniques.

I don't subscribe to Stampers Sampler anymore, but check it out on the newsstand in craft store just in case I need to buy it. Anyhoooo, look carefully at the cards as there are lots of little things that you can learn in that mag, such as ways to use embellishments. That's even if you don't use the same layout shown. For techniques and ideas from other stampers, I get Vamp Stamp News.

I like Rubber Stamper and RubberStampMadness. Both magazines always have plenty of stamping and techniques. I don't subscribe to either, but I use my 40% off coupons for Michaels or Joanns to buy them.

I do LOVE ALL the SOMMERSET mags--they have so many versions...I'm afraid I might end up with dupe copies one day, cuz I will forget which ones I've already bought!! I use a coupon at J or M for 40% off.

I used to subscribe to PC & CK too...it was the same thing over & over---I didn't really get very inspired. I also got tired of seeing ALI EDWARDS photos and journals of herself...too much!!! :p
