I'm so sorry!

I haven't read all the posts, but from reading the last several, I'm glad I didn't order one yet. From what I have read, it seems like the SC company put a product out before it was actually ready for the public.

Since I'm the original poster, I apologize to all of you that are now having problems. Hopefully, SC will take the necessary steps to provide a better product and customer service. Or maybe another company will jump on the band wagon and takeover.

I still think the ability to make our own stamps is a good idea.

Thank you, just one more question. Who did you order from, it says they don't sell to the public?

Thanks

I ordered mine from www.thestampcastle.com I received it within 1 week.I also found it on BonniesBest website. I have never ordered from them so I don't know how good their service is. I Hope this helps you. Good Luck. I have loved mine.Just buying the pouches, in my opinion, is alittle expensive! But it is alot of fun to make your own stamps especially when you can't find a saying or image you need.

Just an fyi.... Bonnie's Best has a wonderful reputation for great service. My friend ordered from her on multiple occasions and was very happy. I am very sorry that the Stamp Critter has not worked out.

I received an email from Though Fish Media, I'm posting the part concerning the Stampcritter:

For the StampCritter, we released a new update to our software which is available free to all users of the StampCritter. We have also taken over management of this product from StampCritter, LLC. Previously, they sold and supported it, but they have decided to just manufacture it and allow retailers to sell it. If you're a previous purchaser of a StampCritter and need support, come to the support forum at http://forums.thoughtfishmedia.com for help with this fantastic new product. The StampCritter allows you to create rubber stamps at home using an inkjet printer and the StampCritter process. The professional version of the StampCritter, which allows up to 2 sets of 5x7 stamps to be made at the same time, and includes all supplies, retails for $229.95. https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php...&cl=9573&ejc=2. We currently have 20 units in stock and ready to ship from one of three regional warehouses - Vancouver, Chicago or Los Angeles.

What do you all think of this? I signed up for the forums, but when I try to log on, all I get is an error - go figure.

I went to the forum and there is nothing there, so maybe you aren't missing anything.

Good to know that there will be more support for this. Maybe after summer I will invest and hope all the kinks are worked out.

I also registered for the forums, got my confirmation, followed the instructions and couldn't log in...but about half an hour later I did log on. I also found nothing on the site. I was only interested to find out if they actually did have support. I could not get help, was promised a return authorization as I could not get it to work, was then promised the authorization and a new machine and nothing happened. I eventually went to Google and launched a complaint (I paid through Google Checkout). I have been refunded my money but they warned that StampCritter could refute my claim and I would have to wait 30 days to see if the money was "mine." My friend cancelled her order before delivery since I was having so much trouble and could not get support and she got a refund but they subtracted the shipping when she never even got it shipped to her. She is still trying to get the shipping back but gets no answers to emails or response.

To me this was a very sad and frustrating experience. I was really hoping to be able to make stamps and wanted it to work. I was amazed that someone put out a machine and then did nothing but make promises and would not answer the phone calls or emails about support.

I also registered, followed the instructions and was able to log in. Andrew stated he had a new revised manual and software. I followed directions--go figure--nothing there. Maybe someone else can give it a try and see if they can download the items. I would write him a note but there is a message that says we have to be nice. Maybe he wasn't happy with the last note I sent him because it was never poster. At this point in time I am so frustrated with them, I would find it hard to be nice. I threatened the Better Business Bureau. I haven't followed through yet. Thought I would give them another try. We'll see. Let me know if someone else is able to download the items. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Gee, Andrew, why would anyone not be nice. Might be because you and the company have not followed through on anything and people might be not very happy. Try doing what you say you're going to do, try answering emails and phone calls, try actually doing things you promised to do like provide support. It still continues to amaze me that they can think they are doing anything near what should be done for this machine. I have never run into such a poorly run organization or people who totally lack any understanding of how to run a business and make things work. I remain completely flabbergasted by the whole thing.

Default Manual & Program

Hi everyone.
Just wanted to let you know I went back and tried to download the manual and program. Was able to download both. A note was posted there was a problem with the program and that was why no one was able to download. Now if I could only get info on how to correctly make a good stamp, that would be nice. I might be asking for too much. Do I sound bitter?

No, you don't sound bitter, you sound frustrated! Sorry you're struggling with this, hope this changes for the better really soon.

Got my new Craft's 'n Things magazine today. There was a full page ad for the Stamp Critter with an apology. Still interested in making my own stamps but iffy on this product

I also saw the ad and wondered how they could have nerve to put the ad in and actually quote satisfied and happy customers. I checked their blog and not any additions since it was put up in February, checked their website and no changes...no one I had been emailing had any luck. I only got my money back because Google got it back for me but said they refused to answer inquiries from Google (I had paid through Google). Hope they don't rip any more people off; sort of sad.

I don't see the site you are referring to debbiegall! Before you order any pouches from anyone for the Justrite, call the company first. When I first received mine I tried to find cheaper pouches before reordering. Everyone I talked to said their pouches would not work with the justrite stamping kit(I have the one that uses a 60watt lightbulb) Goodluck to anyone that can find cheaper pouches! Just wanted to give everyone a suggestion to call first!
