Default DreamKutz worth it?

Is the DreamKutz worth buying? I just bought the bind it all and saw how this really cool machine cuts cardstock in a matter of minutes!! I'm just not sure if spending I would spend $89 for it. Any advice appreciated. TIA

I guess whether the cost is worth it might depend on how much you might use it.

I have DreamKutz and I use it to make the pages that I bind with my Bind It All.

Cutting lots of pages can be done in record time and every page is exactly the same size.

I'm glad I got it - it makes creating custom bound books/journals etc. a breeze

Thanks for the advice. I just love at how it makes cutting pages for a book super simple! Have you had any issues with it? Did you find it easy to use without an instruction booklet?

I have had no problems with it and the instruction sheet is easy to follow.

The cuts were nice and clean, too.

I don't own one, but I've used my friend's. It was really easy to use. Like QueenofInkland said, the cuts were very clean (no fuzzy edges).

If you're a demo, the machine would come in very handy for cutting cardstock for workshops, stamp-a-stacks, convention swaps, etc.

I've been hemming and hawing about getting one for a while now. Can anyone tell me how small it will cut? What about cutting strips for cards? I sometimes cut 1/2-1" strips to use instead of ribbon for my cards. Would it do this? Thanks

lol Renee I wish I could oblige but I really like mine. Nice clean cuts that are super fast. I love cutting cardstock into quarters for using for the embossing folders. Super fast and easy. In fact I wish more creative people would get this machine so we could share tips and ideas. Scrapingals you know I haven't tried that yet but I'll see within the next day or two if I can.

I'm really glad that I have mine! I cut hundreds of card bases at a time, so this is absolutely perfect for that. Earlier this year, I had a custom order for 200 invitations and this tool saved me more time than I can imagine!

Default maybe

Marco Paper was offering a 40% coupon a couple of months ago and I almost got one but the page size that I would need was 8 x8 and it wouldn't cut it. I am really glad this ? was asked, I was going to do the same thing just because I am an addict and if it is out there I WANT IT!! just kidding, kind of hahhahah

Scrapingals the smallest the strips could be is 1 inch from what I can tell with the guides. Remember that the machine has two slots for placing paper one that cuts things directly in half and the other that does it in thirds.

Default Y'all are making me second guess selling mine

It does cut beautifully, but I never used it. I almost always just used my Genesis trimmer. It was nice to be able to do multiple cuts with it though. Maybe if it had sat out where I could see it I would have used it more. Just be sure to get your paper started perfectly straight then you will have no problems.

BabyNurse leave it open with it set to chop 8 1/2 x 11 in half and I betcha you'd just drop the sheet in there and use it. That's what I do for my A2's. ;) Although you do have a nice cutter with the Genesis.

Default Love IT

I bought my DreamKut's when I bought my Bind-It-All. I absolutely love it. I used it to make mothers day books that were 6x6. I cut pages for 4 books in less than an hours time. It comes in very handy for cutting pages down to size. I do wish however that it cut chipboard. Other than that great tool to have.
