Does anyone know of somewhere to buy inexpensive, but good, adhesive for card making? I have been creating a lot of invitations but the adhesive is breaking the bank.
Do you have a friend with an ATG dispenser that you can borrow? I have found that to be the most cost-effective adhesive.
If not...Tombo mono multi? (green bottle--a little goes a long way)
ZIP Dry liquid glue, can be found at Michael's, and Hobby Lobby. With a coupon, it is about $3.00, and one bottle usually last me 4-5 weeks. I used a bottle and a half to make 100 multi layered wedding invitations. I love the stuff.

Hmmmm... dry liquid stuff huh? Does it dry nicely and not warp stuff? What section is it in?? It may be worth trying!
Zip Dry glue is clear. Dries really fast... that's why the name. Doesn't warp. I use it for small pieces. I have found it at Wal-Mart and at Freddie's also.
The ATG dispenser really is cheap per inches of tape. I use that on bigger layers. Ordered the ATG and the refills on ebay.
I just bought some ATG tape from this guy on ebay TheTapeDepot. It isn't the 3M brand, but I like it better, it is stronger and it is acid free for my scrapbooks. I got 15 rolls for $22.95 with free shipping.
Ok, I did a review of cost for six adhesives. Here are the results:
Scotch 987 1/4" for the ATG: 3.25 for 180 feet equls .02/foot
7502 1/4" Tape (Tape Depot) for ATG: 1.95 for 108 feet equals .02/foot
Scotch Double Sided Tape 1/2": 2.58 for 20.8 feet equals .12/foot
Snail 4.50 for refill 472"=39.3 fett .11/foot
Kokuyo refill 3.28 for 43 feet .08.foot
I am in the process of doing a little comparison of stick, but this will give you a cost comparison. Also, things on sale will be a better deal. I did an internet search and picked the lowest price I could find on that day.

very interesting!
Thank you from those of us who are
1--mathematically challenged
and/or
2--too lazy
to do this research! (I fit into both categories, btw!)--
OMW...that made me laugh...almost as much as my typos did when I just re-read my post! You can be lazy and/or mathematically challenge any day; looks like I need remedial typing! LOL
You can use the Scotch quick dry tacky adhesive (liquid in a red and purple bottle). fast drying and really holds. A bottle is about $4 and lasts a long, long time. You only need a very small line around the edges.
When I make cards or other items, I want the things to day together. I use Xyron for over all adhesive or die cuts or Scor-Tape for items where the adhesive is only needed on edges or for assembling 3D items. I feel it's worth the few extra pennies to have it stay together. I am not a fan of any kind of liquid glue.
DiscountOfficeItems.com has the tombow mono adhesive refills on sale for $1.63 each, free shipping over $75.00 and if you order over $65.00 you can use coupon code AUGCOOKIES, you can get a free eight pack of Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies. Sounds like a yummy deal to me.
