Default My White Liquid Applique turned tan- help

I have not used my white Liquid Applique since last year. I went to use it and it has turned tan. Is there anyway to rescue it and make it white again? Has this ever happened to you?

Don't know how to fix it, but I think I have some "tan" applique also. I bought 2 tubes the other day from a store that does not have a lot of turnover. I was told it was white, but I will admit it looked more tan in the tube but I thought I'd give it a try. Definitely isn't white white. I'd love to hear a suggestion on what to do w/ it.

I'm still using it as the "white" part of a santa hat, but it isn't as bright as I would like.

It "burns" with a heat gun i found out and looks tan. I let mine air dry for a day then steam it with the iron.

But, does yours actually appear white when it comes out of the tube? Mine is definitely more offwhite/tan coming out of the tube.

You could always use it as "faux fur!!!!" Or you could make a puffy tan dog or cat...

I discovered several years ago that liquid applique does not have a long shelf/storage life.

I have a bunch of old ones that look separated and tan-ish. I've been squeezing it out on waxed paper, stirring with a toothpick, then kind of painting it on my project. When it's dried and heated, it looks find.

My white has turned tan, and when heated it puffs up white. My bottle is at least 5 years old, and works perfectly.

What about dabbing a bit of white craft ink over it when its dried. Maybe by using a paintbrush or sponges. Just a thought.

Wish I'd seen this last wk. I threw mine out because it looked tan. Couldn't figure out what to do with it. Guess I should have heated it to see what happened. It was really old. I'll know next time.

WOW I never know this. I bought my white about 2 years ago and it still looks white when I use it. I just used it last weekend on some cards and it looked fine.
Do any other colors turn different over time?

My "tan" applique has puffed up white (heat gun) after I let it sit overnight. I think it looks pretty good. I'm very relieved...lol

Sorry I abandoned my own thread!! Life got busy. Anyway. My LA is tan in the tube, comes out tan and dries tan. Guess I'll thry the idea of coloring over it with white craft ink. That may work. Thanks for all the ideas.
