Hi all. I got the Brilliance Starlight Silver Dew Drop ink pad but it doesn't seem to ink well. The resultant image seems more like grey and its just not shiny enough.
Wondering if you girls/guys have any suggestions for a good gold and silver ink which really looks pretty and shiny! I've read abt the Encore metallic inks. Are they much better?
if you do heat embossing you can get an even nicer gold or silver image, but then you need to dig out your heat tool. The encore is quick and easy, they last forever. You can also swipe it on the edges of the paper etc. for borders.
if you want a creamy stuff you can apply with your fingertips gina k carries a product that works good for that, to use for accents, but it doesn't work with your stamps.
Another vote for Encore. I've finally bought a new gold pad, about 5 years after my first one. I've read some people saying that they have trouble with it never drying properly, even on non-glossy card, but I can't say I've had any issues with that. And again, embossing it just makes it even better. I stamped and embossed Encore silver on heatproof acetate yesterday, and it turned out so well.
