Default Are there longer plates for Cuttlebug

I want to use the 4 x 12 embossing folders from Quickutz in my cuttlebug. I can't figure out how it will work with the A & B plates not 12 " long. Is there something else I can use?

You can go to Home Depot/Lowe's/etc. and have them cut you some longer plates out of acrylic. It's not expensive. Be sure to give good measurements so the plates aren't too wide to fit through your CB.

Some people tape 2 B plates tail-to-head or two decorative strip cutting plates side-by-side and run them through, but I haven't had good luck with that for the longer dies (I don't like the ridge it leaves). It might work fine for embossing folders, though.

I heard at my LSS that you can order a longer plate.

whatever company makes the long acrylic borders, also makes the plates to put them in.
I purchased it with a 40% off coupon, it works with my wizard, you just have to keep
turning the crank until the full acrylic plates go through the machine

I use the QK long platform & cutting plate for the QK border dies. It's too narrow for the BigZ XL die, but it works for the 12" borders. My QK 12" embossing folders just arrived yesterday, so I haven't tried them yet. BBL

Apparently I don't have the right combination of pads & plates for a CB, but the 12" QK embossing folders work great in the Big Kick. I just tried one with the Essentials Platform, first Extended Cutting Pad, folder with cardstock inside, chipbord shim, and the second Extended Cutting Pad. The result is great! (The Extended Cutting Pads are sold as a pair. They're the long ones needed for the BigZ XL dies.)

I love my little CB, but this is the second situation where it's not the right machine for the job (the first being the BigZ XL dies/cutting pads). I'm sure someone will come up with a way to work around it with a CB, but the Big Kick gets the job done very easily.
