Smile Tricks and Other uses for punches?

Hello,

Does anyone have some tips for using a punch other than originally intended?

I love the scallop tip with the slit punch and how to make a longer tag with the tag punch.

Please share some more ideas. I would love to get more use from my collection of punches.

Thanks mega bunches,

Diane Beckman

If you have a scalloped tag punch you can make a handbag. Cut off the top scalloped part of the tag, trim the remaining part of the tag to the relevant size. Turn the scalloped bit upside down and attach on top of the remaining part - that makes the flap for the bag. Use a small punched flower, Prima or rhinestone to cover up the tag hole. This looks very nice used with contrasting colours and/or patterned papers.

Forgot to say you can then add a handle if you want to - using wire, beads, ribbon - whatever takes your fancy!

This must be for demos only - I tried to access it and it indicated that I was not allowed to see it.

The first attachment below is 59 uses for the Word Window punch from another thread, luckily I saved it on my computer, cause now I can't find that thread.

This link is an example in the gallery of how to cut away different parts of
the wrought iron punch for different looks, very cool.
