Cuttlebug question

OK so maybe it sounds silly, but... do you use the cuttlebug templates on a light box??? i see some on EBay and they seem (?) to be good prices, but I am not sure if you use them on a light box or not? I have a light box so of course am curious... BTW this is my first time on here!!!!:-D

Welcome...normally you would use the templates with the Cuttlebug itself...not sure if you could use it with a light box...someone else will know I'm sure! Glad you joined SCS...you'll love it here!

I've read posts about using a rolling pin with the embossing folders. The folders are 2-sided and made to work "under pressure" (unlike me). So a light box isn't necessary, and really wouldn't work anyway. I have the CB embosser thing (machine) so I haven't tried an alternative. I think you just put the folder with your paper inside, then put it on a sturdy table and roll over it several times with a rolling pin. HTH.

Welcome. I have the cuttlebug machine, which I got with a coupon at Michaels. I do like it very much. I've read some posts about the rolling pin method. Some people have had success with it. The cuttlebug is sort of like a pasta machine. You turn the handle to make the folders and paper roll through it with pressure. It also has dies that you use to cut shapes. It's a cool tool. I hope you like SCS as much as I. Eileen

I also have the cuttlebug machine and love it!! But I did try the rolling pin method and that does work good as well, it does take a little more muscle than the cuttlebug machine but the outcome was the same, I couldn't tell the difference between the machine and the rolling pin. It is a great alternative to using the folders and traveling, a rolling pin is much easier to pack than the machine itself, and a lot lighter too. Hope this helps :)
