I need some help finding coordinating ribbon for cool carribean and other SU colors-besides the ones offered thru SU. I LOVE the May Arts ribbons, but am not sure what goes with what. I love all the cool ribbons i see on here, advice is appreciated. HELP PLEASE! Thanks.
Terri
I found some stitched grosgrain ribbon by Dashes, Dots & Checks at Michaels that goes really well with the Cool Caribbean. They also had others that go well with Close to Cocoa, Real Red, and Pumpkin Pie. It is a little wider than SU's stitched grograin, but looks really nice.
If you have the reinkers you can dye white grosgrain ribbon to match. I did that with the cool carribean and it turned out really nice. To do it, just take a small amount of water and a few drops of reinker and immerse the ribbon. Dry with a hair dryer. If it's not dark enough add a few more drops of reinker and repeat!
i also found the dots dash and checks at michaels for 1.00 for 9 yards i think they are and they match really close to the CC and the browns and pinks...i actually went back today and bought more of them with pasilies on them too
Ooooo, or you could check out the new papertrey "faux ribbon" stamps, you can make your own ribbon designs in virtually any color! I just got mine today and have tonz of fun playin with them!
Great advice!!! Thanks to all of you. I am going to Michaels tomorrow and on my way to check out RIBBONS AND BOWS OH MY now. Oooh and i've seen cards made with the faux ribbon stamps from Paper Trey. GREAT IDEAS!
You ladies are an awesome bunch of enablers! :-D

my demo taught us this trick. you can get what ever color ribbon you want but only buy the white! and SU! ribbon is great quality too. i loved this tip!
I love black ribbon with cool caribbean - black solid, black gingham, black organdy, sheer black with white dots, black stitch, black stripes. there are a lot of black ribbon sets out there to choose from. It all looks great IMO.
